transportation sector”
In this paper the focus is given on the functions of the public sector and also the issues and
challenges that are faced by the company will be discussed. The emphasis will be given on the
key challenges in attracting and retaining the workforce in the transport sector. Also the issues
faced by the company will be discussed in this paper. In the last phase of the report the focus will
be given on the recommendations that should be considered by the company so that it can be
simple to meet the expectation level of the employees. By taking into consideration the transport
sector, it can be seen that the employees plays a great role and it is important to give importance
to them. So, this paper will highlight the areas related to improvement and management. Also the
detailed description will be made by taking into consideration the factors related to the
challenges.
By focusing on the various studies, it has been stated by Albrecht, Bakker, Gruman, Macey &
Saks (2015), that to attract and retain the workforce in the transport sector is considered as the
difficult situation for the company. It is important to consider the strategies so that it can be
simple to maintain the interest of the employees and employers towards the activities of the
company. It is one of the challenges to attract the employees towards the company and also to
retain them for long time in the workplace. There are many challenges which are faced by the
organization at the time of attracting the new employees towards the workplace. It is necessary to
consider the new ideas so that the interest of the people can be maintained.
According to Kalemba & Campa-Planas (2017), the image of the transport sector has been
affected which also create hindrance for the new employees to enter into the market. This can be
related to the employees who are focusing on working with the business. In the transport sector
one of the problems is related to equality and diversity that impact the overall operations of the
company on the international platform. Diversity can impact the performance and the overall
efficiency of the employees who are working in the transport sector (Tomski, Lis & Bajdor,
2014).
It has been stated by Connell, Nankervis & Burgess (2015), that to attract the employees for the
benefit of the company can be the issue as there is no proper pattern of the companies. Also there

This has also created problem for the companies to focus on making the decisions that can help
to attract more customers towards the overall operations of the company. The challenge related
to the transport sector is also the high level of competition in the market. It has been seen that
the level of competition of the company is enhancing in the market which is also affecting the
overall interest of the employees towards the activities of the company. The high level of
competition also affects the overall image of the company in the workplace which can also
hinder the capability of the employees towards the organizational activities. It can be stated that
the competition level between the transport sectors is becoming one of the issue to attract the
employees towards the operations of the company. This has also leaded in the rise of the overall
competition level and also in the bad functioning of the HR (Syed & Kramar, 2017).
The level of competition prevailing in the market can also affect the brand image and also the
image of the company on the international platform. It can be stated that transport sector focuses
on welfare of the employees and also has an important role in increasing the supply of local jobs
in the market. So, it can be seen that leadership is required in the public sector but in the
transport sector there are many issues related to leadership which are faced by the companies on
the global platform. Talent management and also there are many problems that are considered in
today’s market which also lead to globalization. The issue related to the workforce diversity can
also impact the overall market share on the international platform (Shields et al., 2015).
The issue is also related to the lac k of satisfaction. It can be evaluated that there are companies
who are not successful in fulfilling the overall need of the employees. In the transport sector, the
requirement of the employees plays a great role as it helps to manage the entire activities of the
company. This can also enhance the dissatisfaction level of the employees and business has to
consider the step which is best for the working. Just because of the ineffective planning the
company suffers from the issue of attracting and retaining the employees in the market. Also it
can be seen that if there is no communication in the workplace then affect can be seen on the
overall process of communication. Top management is also not able to maintain and promote
the overall cooperation among the employees in the workplace. Also the companies are not able
to motivate the employees which can affect the talented and qualified workforce. This problem
can also impact the overall process of selection in context to the activities of the company.

sector consider the simple methods so that it can be easy to attract the employees towards the
activities of the company. Also it is important to make proper plans for the transportation sector.
It is necessary to implement the strategies in the company that will help to attract the employees
towards the activities of the company. In this case the employees will help the company to
accomplish the targets in an effective manner. In the transportation sector, the role of the
employees is necessary to be considered and also it is necessary to work on the overall matters
that will help to grab the attention of the employees.
According to Bedwell, Wildman, DiazGranados, Salazar, Kramer & Salas (2012), in the present
era, the company should focus on implementing various strategies so that it can be simple to join
the hands with the employees who have the capability to manage the entire activities of the
company. So, it has been seen that to make the plans is also considered as the challenge for the
companies as it affect the overall employees who are attracted towards company.
It can be seen that one of the challenge in the transportation sector is related to retaining the
existing employees. To maintain the interest of the employees in thee company for the long time
is not considered as the easy task, so to enhance the satisfaction level of the employees it is
important to focus on the needs and requirement. Also one of the challenges is related to the
increase in the demand of the employees that can raise the overall income (Mostafa, Gould‐
Williams & Bottomley, 2015).
Income can be considered as the challenge that focuses on retaining the employees in the
transportation sector. There are employees in the workplace who focus on maintaining the
environment. By giving comfortable environment can also be considered as the challenge for the
people who are in the transportation sector. By taking into consideration the comfortable
environment it can be seen that the increase can be seen on the overall mental ability of the
employees. So, there is a need of the environment which can help in managing the entire
activities of the company. The employees who are there in the workplace should know the
customs and traditions of the company in the transportation sector so that it can be simple to
manage the activities of the company. It is important for the transportation sector to think on this
matter so that the challenge can be reduced (Schulz, Chowdhury & Van de Voort, 2013).

process. Just because of the limited resources and the employees, the company is not able to
recruit the skilled employees in the company. The transportation sector offer good incentives to

company to focus on giving incentives to the employees so that they can feel motivated and
happy towards the activities of the company. One of the important factors to retain the
employees is related to profits and growth. If the employees in the workplace are retained then it
can be simple to enhance the profits of the company. Also it is important to focus on following
rules and regulations of the company so that employees can be attracted towards the activities of
the company. If employees are not interested towards the activities then it can affect the entire
demand of the company (Taylor, 2017).
There are more challenges that are faced by the company at the time of dealing with the
transportation sector and it consists of proper management of the overall health of the
employees. Also it is important to treat in a proper manner so that employees can feel happy and
satisfied with the activities. The challenge for the company can be related to maintain the track
of the employees’ health status. It is important to focus on conducting the campaigns so that
teamwork can be maintained but if it is not there then it can negatively affect the overall
activities of the company (Ziaee Bigdeli, Bustinza, Vendrell-Herrero & Baines, 2018).
There are many issues which are also faced by the transportation sector at the time of attracting
and retaining the employees on the international platform. The problem in attracting the
employees can be related to lack of qualification of the employees. In this it has been seen that
company think twice at the time of recruiting the employees. The company in the transportation
sector should focus on giving knowledge to the employees so that they can have proper
understanding of the business operations. This can only be possible if the employees are
qualified and have some set of the knowledge in relation to the activities of the company
(Sumathi,2014).
According to Riccucci (2017), it can be stated that there is also the issue related to the education
and the experience at the time of attracting and retaining the employees in the workplace. When
focus is given on the recruiting new employees the major aspect in the transportation sector

who have experience or qualification in a particular field. Companies always focus on the

The expectation of the employees in the market is high and to meet the demand of the employees
can be considered as an issue for the company.
There are companies in the transportation sector who are facing the issue relate to retaining the
employees in the workplace. It has been seen that the problem related to retaining the employees
can affect the entire profits and growth of the company on the international platform. One of the
problems can be related to the enhancement in the overall demand of the employees. The
employees are expecting too much from the companies which can also create an issue at the time
of attracting the employees towards the operation of the companies (Masadeh, 2012).
In the transportation sector, lack of understanding is also considered as the problem that can
affect the overall working pattern of the company .The problem related to lack of issue can also
affect the overall process of communication with the employees in the workplace.

lack of leadership in the transporation sector. Due to this the negative affect can be seen on the
entire activities of the company. So, it is necessary to promote the strong leadership so that

training and development. The companies can face the issue related to training and developmnet
of the employees in the workplace whih can also be considered as the problem which is faced by
the company at the time of attracting the employees towards the activities of the company. It is
necessary to maintain the overall training and developmnet process so that it can be simple to
accomplish the overall goals of the company.
So, it has been recommended that the overall activities of transportation sector should focus on
considering the effective strategies so that it can be simple to attract the employees towards the

incentives so that employees can be retained for the long time in the workplace. The reason
behind retaining the employees is related to the overall demand of the employees that should be
satisfied so that it can be easy to boost the overall morale of the employees. If the demand of the
employees is fulfilled then it can be simple for the company to accomplish its overall goals and
objectives in an effective manner. It can also help to survive in the competitive market for long
time which will directly impact the overall growth of the company.
Therefore, by considering all the points it has been concluded that the transportation sector
should focus on managing the activities of the company. They should focus on attracting the
employees towards the company so that it can be simple to achieve growth in the market. The
company can achieve success if focus is given on considering the method related to the attractive
pay and training. It can help the company to survive in the market and to attain the competitive
advantage in the market. This can also help the companies to enhance their image in the market
which will directly impact the overall profitability level of the company in the high level of
