activities of Microsoft, he analyzed that different departments of the company are highly
competitive and have lack of communication which is also responsible for the competitive
rivalry in different departments of Microsoft. Therefore, to bring change in the business, he
restructured organisational structure of the company which helped him in introducing internal
division among different departments and encouraging employees to focus on the
accomplishment of share corporate goals and objectives.
Google- Google also focused on forming change management strategies which can help
them in transformation by building greater divisions in the organisation. After successful
research and development, the management team of Google analyzed that the company is
working on projects which needs support and attention of upper management and they must
focus on prioritizing and executing the projects effectively (Kim and Lui, 2015). For bringing
change in the organisation, the company divided itself into multiple companies which helped
them in narrowing the focus and dividing the work pressure into different divisions which will be
helpful in prioritizing all work correctly and meeting the required standard of performance
whereas all the divisions will be fully responsible and answerable to the new parent company
Alphabet which will manage all operations of different divisions of Google.
British Airways- British Airways restructured its whole organisation and it is one of the
largest airline in UK which is the merger of four other companies. Due to this huge merger, the
company has faced many issues in effectively managing all operations of the organisation. By
restructuring, the entire organisation with the help of reducing the work force at high number
helped British Airways in eliminating unprofitable routes and maximizing revenue generation
and high profit. By bringing the change to number of personnel in the workforce it helped
company in enhancing transparency and strong communication which help them in generating
profits and maintaining their goodwill in the industry. Furthermore, it also helped them in
preparing themselves to adopt the upcoming changes which will be beneficial for the
profitability and sustainability of the organisation (Lopes de Sousa Jabbour and et.al, 2020).
