INTRODUCTIONChanges are something which involves modification of policy, rules, regulations in theorganization. Every Business operates in environment which is not constant and keeps onchanging with the course of time. Along with this, there are various operators of changes whichhave a huge impact on the company structure. This report includes Starbucks and Costa coffeecompany which is operating successfully in UK with the main objective of lending qualityservices to their customers through fulfilling their needs and enjoy highest market share. Costacoffee house in among the second largest in the world behind the Starbucks. The aim of thisreport is to highlight the aspects related to organizational changes. Understanding the concept ofleadership process is accounted important for gaining sufficient profit and production level forthe company (Anderson, 2010). There are several leadership approaches which are applied bythe firms according to their system and environment. Therefore, it is required by the industriesto foresee, schedule and furnish required changes considering the various internal and externalfactors which have a huge impact on the corporation's structure. TASK 1P1 Impact of change on an organisation's strategy and operationsEvery firm have to bear the changes which happens in the surroundings through makingchanges in the procedures, operations, policies and structure. Modifications can be of two typespositive as well as negative which are needed to be properly understood by the management ofcompany so that effective and efficient results can be produced by business. Organizationalchange basically involves inspecting and assessing structure of the management and variousrelated business processes. Every business should accept changes and look as a way to organizebase to follow plan of actions. The kinds of changes in business are associated with reference to policy, strategy, people,functions, operations etc.(Aslan, 2013). Internal and external factors need to be consideredproperly by the company's managers which results into achieving sufficient profits. To manageall these factors , firm has to make suitable plans for such modifications by executing appropriateand suitable models and processes. Starbucks and Costa are the two famous coffee houses of UKwith their proper dealing. Starbucks is a large association with outlets in other nations on the

other hand Costa is the second largest coffee company that provides roasted coffee to theircustomers. whenever any changes occur in these company, leads to the impact in the process.The impact of risks are different depending upon size of the organization. Big associations havea huge impact of risks as compared to small association. Business risks can grow from internaland external factors. There are basically five division of risks that are strategic, operational,financial,compliance and other elements (natural disaster). Starbucks is the big organisation,hence changes which are taking place in the businessenvironment related to prices of rawmaterial used to make coffee beans. Other changes involve alterations that has to be executed inoperations of strategies of these two coffee houses. Similarly, Costa company bears same kind ofinfluences from the changing environment. The impact of changes on these companies aredifferent that are discussed below: Basis StarBucksCosta Emerging technologies Starbucks is a big sizedorganisation, thus they have toadopt updated and newtechnology to operate theirbusiness in order to makequick changes in system.There are Costa is comparatively a smallsized coffee house that needsto adopt technological changesbut at lower level. They willrequire more funds tointroduce new technologyconcepts which is not availablewith the management. Change in external factors External influences includeeconomicconditions,government policies as wellcustomers preferences. Anychange in demand ofcustomers result in restructureof management system. Allthese factors impact the overallorganization system. Hence,StarBucks has to alter theirstructure whenever need arisesDue to less number ofoperations in Costa coffeehouse the impact of change incustomer preferences andbehaviour do not impact themanagement system majorly.The chances of negativeimpacts are very few.
