INTRODUCTIONHealth and social care services refer to facilities which has been provided by health andsocial care organisations to well being of human as well as society well fare (Ross, Tod andClarke, 2015). The present report is based on health and social care facilities for elderly peoplelive within care home centres. It explains concepts of health, illness, disabilities and behaviour inrelation to health and social care services users. This study define perceptions of specific needshave changes over time and also clarifies impact of legislation, society, social policy and cultureon ways that health services are made available for person's with specific needs. It justifies careneeds, current systems for individuals with particular needs. It also explains approaches,interventions, available to helps people and different concept of challenging behaviour.Furthermore, this report explains strategies for working with challenging.1.1 Concept of health, disabilities, illness and behaviour in relation to health and social careservice usersHealth is state of complete mental, physical and social well being, elderly health andsocial care users face health issues in their lives. Over age of 60 they will not been able to learnand understand things, older people face physical and learning disabilities. 80% of older peoplelive in middle and low income countries where they get ill due to pollution and harmful disease. Specific condition: Learning and physical disabilities make impact on elder behaviour inwhich they do not feel happy and get irritate quickly. Older peoples with physical disabilitiessuch as heart disease have high rate of depression (Bhugra and et.al., 2014). Older with learningdisabilities such as vision have higher rate to stress. Older people loss their memory after the ageof 65, they will not been able to learn something new or different which make impact on theirhealth and get them ill. According to “Good health and Well being” program in 2015, illness anddisabilities both is different, illness is sickness and disability is mental or physical issue thatmake it harder to do daily activities in context of elder people. 1.2 Perceptions of specific needs have changed over timeBefore government rules and policy in context of health and social care services, nursesand other staff member perception towards elder people with learning and physical disabilitieswill change. They do not provide them appropriate treatment and does not focus on older peoplewell being, which make the more ill.
