INTRODUCTION
Sports is termed as an activity of engaging in physical exercises and abilities so
as to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It promotes a team in which individuals plays against
each other for entertainment (Baker and et. al., 2017). The present assignment report is
based on Sports culture exist in UK along with its benefits, encouragement and
approaches through which it can be developed to promote healthy lifestyle of people
living in UK.
MAIN BODY
Benefits of playing sports for individual or a community:
Healthy body: Sports is one of the most important thing that has been physically
and mentally. This has been helping in making improvement in our physical and
emotional health. This support helps in increasing the immunity level with added
benefits such as increasing the activeness and alertness of mind, reduced
cholesterol etc. This has been reducing stress which makes stress and leading
over better sleep. Benefit of sports involves workouts in which assistance through
internal and external system of body (Bean and Forneris, 2017).
Teaches teamwork: Sports is being played in group team that needs
coordination over support among teammates. It makes to learn group harmony
and makes to cooperate in large.
Skills gaining: The sports have been resulting in making the over all
development of the person in general. The sports leads to formation of certain
goal to achieve which can be achieved through avoiding and handling the
conflicts well and by developing trust within team.
New connections: Sports has resulted in building and maintaining new
relationships. This is the main benefit to be connected with sports. The sports
leads to be involved with events and opportunities (Campbell and Sigalov, 2020).
Increased confidence and self-esteem: Sports are the games in which one
losses and one wins. The winning one gets motivate and confidence this makes
play to be gained. In this loss spots are mistaken from learning this impacts self-
confidence of person.

Discipline: Generally the sports is the game with relation to the discipline ,
honesty and punctuality and this needs to be followed every time while playing
and in general. The sports field demand certain principles to be followed.
Career opportunities: The sports is the field which offers many career
opportunities one just needs the interest and dedication to pursue the career in
this. This course is being taken up by many institutions also to provide the
specialised course in sports (Chen and Yuan, 2016).
Approaches to encourage to play sports
Introduction of club: To increase the sports reach to every corner the sports
clubs can be opened within country which makes initiative with new different
shops through which people is required to gain interest for entrainment. Various
levels at which it is taken at district level and national level. These can have
introduced for the people of different age groups like for kids, adolescents, adults
and senior citizens. It easily helps in gaining interest among the people (Dai and
Wen, 2018).
Fitness weeks: The Fitness weeks are created to celebrate the entertainment
part. And there are many people who are fitness freak in UK. Sports is the
biggest reason for fitness because it includes workouts: physical as well as
mental. So through festivals, awareness can be created about the sports playing
Role Model: Through example lot of sports has been followed by playing
passion and successful by earning today. In this appreciation of role model is to
be done so that other people is motivated towards sports. For example, Gareth
Bale, Paul Pogba, Raheem Sterling, Harry Kane, Daniel Sturridge, Anthony
Joshua and many more (Pak and Chatterjee, 2016).
Projects on sports: The introduction of sports based projects is mandatory for
encouraging people. As project creates need within the people to do benefit. This
can be understood through collecting funds and organize sports activities for
indoor and outdoor games. Organization of sports event motivates collecting
rewards through them.
Increasing awareness about benefits: The awareness and knowledge has to
be imparted and increased with regarding to the benefits related to be associated

with the sports. The awareness step should be taken at all the levels to let know
the people and childern the benefits associated with playing sports
(Scheinbaum, Lacey and Drumwright, 2019).
Steps for encouragement
1. Analysing interested sport: This is the very first step in which people is
required to analyse inner-self that is exactly been developing interest. So, as to
make benefits of mental health in physical also.
2. Set up: After making analysis it is necessary for setting all things related for
sports that is necessary equipments, environment, people and safety measures
in relation to injury like first aid box, protection and hand gloves (Schulenkorf,
2017).
3. Time consideration: This is required for knowing approximate time in making
play sport so as to make schedule to complete all kind of work. So, scheduling
should be involved as sport activity for discipline to be focused.
4. Support as a coach: Sport is benefited for playing over proper guidance within
the coach or master which has become sport. If anyone cannot afford coach as
charge is high to teach with anyone thorough internet.
5. Boosting morale: Inner satisfaction and self-motivation are important in sports
because winning and losing are the two most mandatory parts of it. Most people
lose their hope in only one lost game, but this is considered as negativity in
people so boosting morale must be done to follow sports passion and basically
for the health conditions. This work is mainly done by the coaches that is why it is
said that sports without coach becomes difficult to play and enhancement
motivation level can be incomplete (Yoshino, Taghizadeh-Hesary and Otsuka,
2020).
Inspirational case studies about some sports players
Jack Johnson(Boxer): The first African and American heavyweight champion of
the world who specialise in Boxing. His journey till now mainly highlights the racial
discrimination in sports games. At beginning, building career in sports were too difficult
for him due to facing discrimination from white people as according to team, competing
with black people were below their dignity. Due to this, he continually practised

successfully to compete with black or white in sports tournament but apparently no
white was willing to play with him. On day, known boxer i.e. Tommy Burns accepted this
invitation to fight and shoed his willingness to compete with him. Jack won that match
and afterwards from there He continuously was on a routine to win and defeated many
whites as he can for about seven years. He got married even to a white woman. Till 60's
he was continually playing and then died in an car accident. This one sets out an
exemplary example for everyone there to follow the your dreams and go for a career in
sports.
Bethany Hamilton (Surfer): She is the top player of surfer and started dreaming
for reaching their goal at the age of 5, she won many competition and secured its
position. But one day, she is casually surfing the dream and feels the shark is
underwater. His father saves her from being attacked by the shark in her arm, but she
lost her one arm in that incident. She did not lose the hope of being success in surfing.
she continued her practice and dedication towards their goal and finally, she won many
trophies in surfing. There was a movie named “soul surfer”, which is based on her
inspiration and covered all her life incidents. She is such a dream chaser.
Pele(Footballer): He is the best football player in the world. Initially he has worked
in a tea shop for their survival and is very poor. He played football by making ball from
his socks. He is very dedicated towards his game but not having sufficient financial
support, he started working and collecting money. He finally collected money for his
game and started his coaching with a good coach. He practises well for winning every
stage of his game and finally he succeeded in his field. He secured many position in his
game career and set a benchmark for other football player his effort and determination.
His life journey from not having anything to a great footballer is an inspiration to every
player. He is a true example of hard work and success.
CONCLUSION
Therefore, it is concluded that playing sports is very important and should be an
integral part of everyone's life and routine. The sports offers various benefits and it
maintains our mental state and health issues also. The above presented arguments on
benefits, approaches and various inspirational case studies are done to present the
