INTRODUCTION
Organisation Behaviour is a subject of management which studies the factors and
elements influencing the behaviour of employees in an organisation. (Organizational Behavior,
2017). It is the study of factors affecting organisation and employee's performance. Analysing
organisational behaviour is important for a company because it motivates employees, monitors
performance, brings coordination and leads to higher efficiency. Concepts of organisational
behaviour are applied on American automotive giant Ford Motor Limited. Ford Motors is an
American Company deals in Auto mobiles. It was founded on 16th June 1903 by Henry Ford. The
assignment contains the study of impact of organisation's culture, politics and power on
performance and behaviour of individuals and team. Moreover the report also covers tools to
motivate employees to enhance their performance. Further in a report there is a exhibition of
mechanism to understand approaches to perform effective team work. Later report contains
application of various concept and principles of organisational behaviour to improve the given
business situation.
LO1 Analyse the impact of organisation culture, power and politics over organisation behaviour
Organization Culture refers to the assumptions, values and beliefs which guide or
govern how personnel will behave in the company and are kind of rules that followed by
everyone in following organisation (Williams Jr and et. al., 2018). This system of shared values
have a forceful impact on the behaviour of employees and teams also creates an exclusive social
and psychological environment which affects the manner of interaction between people.
IMPORTANCE OF CULTURE
For healthy competition and working conditions, it is necessary for organisation to have
positive and motivated culture. It also define certain or basic policies which governs and direct
personnel to put their efforts in attainment of goals also justify the roles and responsibilities of
each individual on basis of which they have to perform tasks and activities (Tuna and et. al.,
2016). In context with Ford Motors, it is mandatory for management to cultivate a positive
culture for accomplishment of its vision and mission also to focuses on excellence and teamwork
for higher performance.
HANDY'S MODEL OF ORGANIZATION CULTURE
A model 'classification of organisational culture' proposed by Charles Handy is discussed below:
