Present research is taken in to consideration on new and the innovative ways of working for
attaining the strategic approach to talent management. It helps in give the better
understanding related to strategic approach related to the talent management. In this,
researcher conduct an investigation from personal and professional viewpoint. Researcher
conduct an investigation from personal context for enhancing knowledge and skills. In
professional context, researcher perform the research activities so that in future it can not
face any issue and getting positive results.

Concept of talent management
According to Elizabeth Quirk (2019) Talent management concern with the management of
human resource in an organisation. It has been said that it is the employees who takes the
company to very next level. It is concerned with acquiring the right people and putting them
at the right place in company. TM task is also to predict the number of work force needed,
organise and handle the recruitment process. Not only this, TM team is also responsible or
training and development of employees. Making them acknowledge about company's
policies, regulations, candidate job profile, employee pay, solving any sort of grievance and
the like.
Advantages of talent management to The Grand Brighton
As per opinion of Ethan Chen (2020) Talent management provides the many benefits to The
Grand Brighton which given below:
Attract skilled employees- Talent management's most obvious task is the talent acquisition.
Here, HR team hire the skills people for company. They organise the recruitment process by
attracting people for job positions. As in case of The Grand Brighton, the hotel attract
people by sending them invitation to people and then conduct the recruitment and selection
process. They select those people who's skills and knowledge gets matched with the job
profile.
Improve retention rates- Talent management work is not just concern with acquisition of
talented people but it extends to their retention also. TM team work upon the factors which

make employees to leave the company, and work upon those factors to improve the
retention rates. High employees turnover is more costly for company then to retain them. H
The Grand Brighton tries its level best to define such factors and take out their solutions.
Strategic approach to talent management used by The Grand Brighton for identify the
new and innovative working ways
On the basis of Nellie Amirah (2016) Strategic talent management is related to explaining
future requirement for the talent in company and also about taking the actions to meet with
requirements. Under this, The Grand Brighton hotel use the different strategies approaches
for determine innovative working ways such as give Development Opportunities, Selection
Process, Effective Compensation etc. These all are helpful in examining the different ways
to conducting work in an effective manner.

Section Five: Research approach and methodologies
What type of research approach and methodologies are you likely to use and why?
What your areas of research will cover:
In research methodology part, research onion will be used. Its was developed by Saunders
et al. (2007). It includes various layers which given below:
Research philosophy- This is set of beliefs that concern the existence of the truth to be
examined. This may be different for research goals and a great way of achieving research
goals. Positivism and Interpretivism are two philosophies of the research.
In present research, positivism research philosophy will be mainly used because it seeks to
determine, measure and examine the phenomena and also give the description for it.
Research Approach- Deductive and inductive are two different research approaches. In
present investigation, deductive approach will be used because this moves from general to
specific and associated with the scientific research.
Research Strategies- It is an action plan which gives thoughts or efforts and also enables a
systematic investigation to be conducted. Choosing right research strategy is necessary so
that the positive results can be achieved. There are different strategies such as questionnaire,
focus groups, interview etc.
In performing research, questionnaire will be developed as this gives the relevant
information and able to collect the information and data from large sample size.
Research Choice- This layer mainly explained regarding way to obtained the data and
information. Quantitative and Qualitative are two choices of research for analysis.
Quantitative will be used in doing present research because this helps in obtain the more
accurate outcomes and getting accurate results.
Time horizon- There are cross sectional and longitudinal two types of the time horizon. In

present research cross- sectional will be used because this helps in give particular time
period for completing an investigation effectively.
Data collection- It is related to gathering data. There are secondary and primary two
different methods of data collection.
To gather the information in present research, primary method will be used by developing
questionnaire.
Sampling- This is about collecting samples from the entire population. There are different
forms of sampling like Probabilistic and non-probabilistic. Random sampling is a kind of
probabilistic sampling as it aids in give the equal opportunities to selected respondents from
the entire population. Through this method, 40 respondents will be chosen.
