INTRODUCTION
In today’s competitive world it is essential for a person to have professional qualities in
order to manage different tasks and activities in an organisation (Chen, 2017). In hospitality
sector most of the organisations demand professional qualities in candidate which will help in
development of several organisational functions. In this project importance of professional
development is explained in a precise manner along with different skills and competences which
are need of an employer from a candidate. In this report there is preparation of a specific
professional development plan in order to perform assessment and analysis of different skills and
abilities. This report also contains a detailed job interview process for hotel supervisor job role
and necessary aspects related to interview with strengths and weaknesses. In this report example
of Emirates Palace is taken into consideration which is situated in Abu Dhabi. The hotel is
considered as one of the topmost luxurious hotels in the world and was established in the year
2001.

In academic and career related life there is a great importance of professional development
as it increases standard of a person. It is essential for a person to develop in a professional
manner in order to handle different operations and functions related to an organisation. Most of
the organisations in hospitality sector are effectively involved in handling different aspects of
professional development in order to gain competency edge (Dikilita, 2018). The importance of
professional development is mentioned below:
Enhances personality- By taking help of professional development a person can
achieve effective and dynamic personality. A good personality is always indicator
of effective person in the era of stiff competition and also inspires others. The
personality development is facilitated by professional development in a precise
manner within a short period of time.
