Introduction to CafePod Coffee
Cafe pod Coffee is a south London based Coffee company with a target to provide exciting
coffee drinking experience to coffee lovers. The roasting and originality of this coffee is unique
in its own way.
Company focuses on Continuous professional development through proper training programmes
and interactive sessions with their employees. It conducts the formal CPD programme for its
employees with the help of offline and online programmes, professional lectures, Workshops and
events. These lectures and training are taken by highly skilled and professional trainers.
The below report will cover about the individual and organizational learning. Training needs,
learning process and its barriers in learning, Types of learning and training ,Formal and informal
learning and overall training for CPD for the improving the efficiency level of its employees.
2.2 Analysis of CPD
The difference in organizational learning and individual learning is that organization learns only
when individual learns.
Training and development is different on the grounds that training is usually conducted for new
employees and for new processes while development takes place for already enrolled employees.
Thus, in training new employees came to know skills to do the work and development uses new
techniques top do work for better results.
Analysing CPD for short term, long term and medium term goals.
The Goals can be achieved by proper training programmes and continuous development
programmes for the employees (Lin and Sanders, 2017). There has to be proper and skilled
professional trainer.

Formal training is structured training while informal is direct training. Always formal training
like online certification and test has to be adopted for better results.
2.3 High performance working organization
It is a general approach to manage company and main aim of this organization is to
encourage effective employees participation and dedication to give higher level performance at
workplace (Lin and Sanders, 2017). It is beneficial to employer as it increases the productivity of
the employees in an organisation. Also, it can benefit to employees by increasing their skills and
knowledge at work. Besides it can increase the employee engagement at work place for example
if the employee Cafepod Coffee are performing well in the organisation, it generate their interest
in the job and will also result in less failure. This can also help in gaining the competitive
advantage in the market.
2.4 Approaches of High Performing Workforce
Collaborative Working- It means a system of working where two or more than two teams
or organisation work together to achieve common goals. This can be in form of informal
alliances to formal workplace set up (Pirie and et.al., 2016). For instance finance team and
marketing team working collaboratively (jointly) to make budget for upcoming year.
This type of working saves energy, time and efforts.
When objectives of two team or organisation are conflicting or different from each other,
collaborative working can not work.
This type of working often limit individual growth as main focus remains on team performance.
Effective Communication- communication without any barrier whether technical,
personal or situational, where receiver of the message is able to understand exactly what sender
of the message want to convey (Baker, 2017). For instance, flat organisational structure is very
helpful for effective communication because unnecessary barrier in form of structure doe not
exist in this type of organisation.
When communication is effective mistakes and problems in performance occurred due to
misunderstanding will not exist.
Only when two parties are concerned with communication then only chances of its being
successful are high but when more than two parties are involved then different understanding of
different party will affect effectiveness of communication.

Effective communication also include transparency that require to share too much information
with other party that can have potential downfall of losing control or being misused.
Support of HR in HPW- HR of Cafepod Coffee should look after that work related
requirements of workforce is completed and unnecessary troubles does not affect performance of
people in the organisation. HR should ensure climate and environment of workplace is adequate
that this does not disturb their performance. HR should ensure following of rules and regulation
regarding health and safety of workforce and should organise events that keep workforce
motivated.
CONCLUSION
This report discuss about employees of organisation and how they can improve their
skills and abilities related to their work and how HR and management can help them to perform
their work and improve their performance. For this they are required to set SMART goals for
employees and provide them timely feedback through doing their SWOT analysis this will help
them to know their strength and weakness and also gives then idea where should they improve
and after this report also discuss about high performing workforce and how they can continue
professional development and role of organisation in developing profession of its employees.
RECOMMENDATION
Cafepod Coffee company should encourage their workforce to work collaboratively.
Instead of its few limitation effective communication is the key for successful
organisation so organisation should always maintain effectiveness of communication in their
organisation.
HR is a key contributor in an organisation of high performing workforce so HR should
play their role effectively to maintain that performance level and even improve that performance.
