INTRODUCTION
Every organisation require to focus on their employees activities and performance and
use specific strategies and techniques so that organisation can easily improve the productivity
and development of the organisation. To maintain the manpower activities in an organisation so
there is a need to focus on the HR department because HR department responsible to take care
all the activities of the employees like their tasks, salary,wages, incentives, compensation,
rewards, recruitment, performance appraisal and training & development and performance
management. HR manager is the one who is liable to maintain the records and consider all the
activities of the employees. For this report, Syngenta organisation is considered which founded
in 2000 from the merger of agricultural division of Zeneca & Novartis. This organisation is the
global provider of the agricultural science & technology the headquarter of this organisation
established in Basel, Switzerlans. There are various products which provide by this organisation
such as crops, pesticides, seeds, herbicides, fungicides etc. the main purpose of this report is to
discuss about the importance of organisation design on the basis of their structure and analyse
the different approaches that can help to attract and maintain the skills of employees. This
report will conduct research and utilise contemporary knowledge and also analysed that how
organisational design has to respond & adapt to change management.

fulfilling organisational strategy, using specific organisational examples
Every organisation need to use specific organisational theory that can help to design the
organisational structure properly. Organisational design theory is considered the systematic
process that can help to identify the specific things and issue that is not properly fit in an
organisation so that organisational can easily achieve their objectives and goals. Organisational
design theory can help to make useful policies and enhance the process of change and its
implantation. Syngenta is a big organisation that operate their business globally so there is a
need to under the requirement of the employees and organisation and adopt the specific
organisational design theory which can help to maintain the overall organisational structure and
help to identify the issue which can create the problem in the development of the organisation
(Al-Fraihat, Joy and Sinclair, 2017).

The management department of the Syngenta organisation need to use specific strategies so that
all the issues easily resolve and organisation can easily boost their performance. In term of
Syngenta, management department can use theories which can help to identify the impaired
aspects. The importance of organisational design as per the organisational structure & fulfilling
organisational strategy considered some specific points which are discussed below-
Organisational design theory mainly deliver the most appropriate and excellent services
to the customers.
It can help to the reduces the cost of the operations so that productivity and profitability
will be improved (Chen, Marshall and Lin, 2019).
It can help to improvises the process time & overall efficiency of the employees.
It can useful in making strategy so that organisation can consider the most organisational
growth for the long time period.
There is a importance of the organisational design theory which can help to enhance the
overall productivity and efficiency of the organisation so that Syngenta can maintain their
market growth properly. Trainee HR manager of the Syngenta mainly improvise the work
efficiency so that each and every employees of the organisation grow effectively.
Appropriate Theories for organisational structure
Organisational structure is the systematic framework that can help to maintain the
organisational operation properly and help to maintain the discipline. Organisation need to
understand the usage of these theories so that it will help to maintain the effective organisational
structure. It is identified that Syngenta used matrix organisational structure which include more
than one line of the organisational managers that maintain the more than one useful line of the
reporting managers. It refers that all the employees need to report more than one boss or
manager. There are variolous theories considered by the Syngenta which are discussed below-
Contingency Theory
This theory mainly utilised to balance the conflicts in an organisation so that all the
employees can work properly and provide the effective results. There is a need to consider this
theory because it can help to resolve the conflicts because conflicts are unavoidable at the
workplace. Manager of the organisation need to practice various strategies so that it will make
easily to mange the conflicts and disputes . With the help of this theory , it is easy create and
