Differences between leaders and managers

management of business which usually practice of developing of efficiency
at highest level in an organization. This process is mainly concerned about
converting materials into services and goods to increase profits of an
organization. Tesco company is taken, this is s retailer company of
multinational groceries, its headquartered in England, Welwyn garden city.

Differences between leaders and
managers.
Leadership
Leadership is demonstrated as who
leads people, shows rights path or
new direction.
A leader is that who shows clear
vision and new direction to the
group of peoples.
Leader is one who is a front head of

Leaders are those who are meant to

individuals or their resources which

managers are those who have
number of peoples to work for them

them, even managers have
leadership quality as they motivate
their employee to work together
and teaches them to be laborious

The definitions and differences of both a
leader and a manager
Leadership is a term which describes that showing a new direction or clear
visions to the group of peoples, Leader is one who is a front head of new
directions . Management is the term which controls or directs group of
individuals or their resources which are established according to the
individuals values and principles.

Management functions such as
planning, organising, controlling and
directing
Management is a process which deals with controlling or directing peoples
and things this term is known as management, and this operate through
many functions they are organizing, motivating,staffing, directing, and
controlling , they are briefly mentioned below;
Planning – this is main function of management , deciding in advance for
the achievement of goals or making planning what to do in the coming
future having a thought or idea of doing something in future this is
known as planning.

Staffing – this is defined as giving positions or deciding their roles according
to their work based on experiences, this is called staffing. This is the
function which keep manning the organization structure , the main aim of
staffing is that to give right job to the right person, in the context of
company Tesco always does staffing in a good manner they always give

Directing - This is a managerial function which mainly focus on
organisational methods should work with complete efficiency to achieve
organisational goals, directing means guiding or motivating, supervising,
for the organisation purpose or accomplishment of goals.
Controlling – This term defines that controlling team or an individual in an
organisation to achieve goals or objectives.

Theories of leadership traits, style and
contingency
Leadership of trait theories are those which identifies a personality of
traits in a particular way or that which differentiate leaders from non
– leaders, leadership is that who can rule in a smooth manner, or
who can lead peoples, leadership is based on qualities, performance,
and intelligence.

Transformational and
Transactional Leadership
Transactional leadership – this is commonly based on control and process,
and this is often required as to maintain or keep the management structure
strictly, they mainly focus on goals and they are reactive personality on the
other side transformational leadership are those who requires
communication, or coordination to inspire others, they are proactive
personality and they mainly focus on vision and Tesco comply this
leadership with whole charisma and enthusiasm which increase their
highest level of motivation, this leadership are commonly inspire group of
peoples to follow it.

Action centred Leadership
Action centred leadership – According to John Adair action centred
leadership, is influential and popular tool which was published in
1973. There are some core actions which leads a team effectively
instead of leadership style and these are divided into three areas;
Task – this includes, the actions are taken to accomplish goals
Team – those actions are taken at the group level should motivate
group cohesion as well as appreciate team work.
Individual -the actions which addresses each and every team
member's specific needs.

‘Hard’ management skills and ‘soft’
leadership skills
There are several ways which approaches HR in business , these are
explained in two terms hard and soft .
Soft leadership this includes charisma, courage, emphasizes the
character, empathy filled with compassion these are known as soft
leadership.
Hard leadership - this involves or focus on threats, negative
stimulus, or negative motivation, or fear this is known as hard
leadership.

CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been concluded that business
communications is most crucial part of every organisation
organisation. As they needs to be very effective while doing. But
there are certain challenges that needs to be improved. From the
above report it is recommended that employees needs to be very
clear and effective at the time of communicating with any person.
