Topic-
To investigate the impact of company policy pertaining to equality and diversity in order
to improve day to day activities of workers.
Background
In recent time, it is quite difficult for management within any industry or sector to
manage performance and day to day actions of their diverse workforce (Pollitt, 2018). Increasing
needs and demands of labour market affect management practices and styles effectively.
Equality and diversity is the main concern of people, it is one of the key factors that put positive
impact on business growth and success when firm follow policies related to these. Both these
components mean a lot of things, it is all about respecting applicants for their individual age,
race, career experience, gender, beliefs, skills, sexual orientation, cultural background and more.
The current study is based on Marriott hotel, which falls under category of leading hotels in UK.
This assignment will discuss different forms of research methods that will use by researcher to
gather a lot of data about above chosen topic.
Aim and objectives
The aims of this report is to identify the influence of business policy pertaining to
equality and diversity in order to improve daily activities of workers. A study based upon
Marriott hotel.
Objectives-
To understand conceptual concept of equality and diversity
To determine different policies utilized by organization to maintain equality and diversity
within a workplace.
To examine the significance of policies implemented by firm for improving day to day
activities of applicants.
To recommend possible suggestions to Marriott for enhancing staff performance at
workplace.

What is the meaning of equality and diversity?
What are the different policies used by Marriott hotel to maintain equality & diversity at
workplace?
What are the importance of policies applied by company for enhancing daily activities of
staff?
Rational
The main reason for choosing this topic is that, to identify what policies Marriott hotel
develop for workers, that improve their performances and activities on daily basis. Research
wants to determine the impact of policies on staff activities which may be affect positively. The
another reason for conducting research on the basis of chosen topic is that, it gives a lot of
knowledge about varied methods can be use pertaining to equality and diversity in order to
increase productivity and performance of working people. By doing this research, individual gets
to know about many new approaches, due to which the employees get a lot of benefit.
Project management plan that covers important elements
Project management plan aids in evaluating and ascertaining varied aspects related to
management of project and manage all key activities accordingly in systematic manner (Silv and
et.al., 2018).
Cost-
This element determines that what are the different costs that can be incurred in
conducting of investigation and then amount that will be important in implementing suggestions
that have been determined in firm (Davis, 2017). In current research there can be a total amount
needed of £ 250.
Scope-
The scope of this investigation exceeds to analysis of policies that are created by Marriott
hotel in order to enhance activities of existing and new candidates. With the help of this research,
chose and other company get information about policies that enhance abilities and activities of
staff.
Time-

Time needed to conduct research will be an inexact time frame of 110 days. Scholar will
conduct investigation in systematic and ethical manner and practices undertaken will be efficient
where data gathered will be in appropriate way.
Quality-
This aspect of investigation can be utilized to ascertain collection of data and then
conducting further activities in relevant manner. Researcher to improve the quality of work will
gather data from valid sources which is quite beneficial for them in term of providing appropriate
findings.
Communication-
It is one of the major parts of investigation which assures that work is completed in
systematic manner and outcomes are communicated efficiently. Investigator will communicate
findings of investigation by determining varied stakeholders interested in firm and research and
then communicating outcomes with owners, leaders, managers etc.
Risk-
It will illustrate that what are several risk factors that scholar might encounter during
undertaking current research. Researcher while conducting research will face different risk that
affect on its performance. It includes financial risks, lack of knowledge and financial risks.

There are range of key resources that investigator will require for research that is being
undertaken such as needs of human resources, technological data and other things in current
