INTRODUCTION
Talent management is termed as a methodical organized process through which
organisation can strategically hire, recruit or retain right talent. Main aim of this to ensure more
growth and better opportunities (Anlesinya and Amponsah-Tawiah, 2020). Talent management is
an essential process through which organisation can retain top talent while improving employee
experience.
Present report has been conducted on TESCO, which is operating its business services in
retailing sector. In this report formative discussions has been made upon the concept of talent
management for which aims and objectives has been underlined. Along with this report also
include project management plan, reflection and recommendations for future growth and
development.

TESCO.

Concept of talent management at workplace
As per the view point of Bonneton, Festing and Muratbekova‐Touron, 2020 talent
management is defined as a constant procedure that mainly includes attracting and retaining
highly talented, skilled and potential employees. For this management engages in the process of
offering continuous motivation to employees in order to maximise their overall level of
performance (Talent Management. 2020). Employees acts as the most important asset of an
organisation thus with the help of talent management process business can improve its
performance, allow entity to stay competitive, drive innovation, develop more productive teams
and more.
Challenges that organisation face in talent management
As per the view point of Leggat, Liang and Howard, 2020, an organisation can face
number of challenges while executing the process of talent management. It has been evaluated
that major challenge that can entity can face is related to creation of a culture of engagement. In
this company can somehow face challenge to build trust among senior management and
employees. Entity can face challenge related to building a culture of engagement through which

activities are being included such as project objectives, aim, deliverables, goals, timeline and

management is a superior workforce (Johara, Yahya and Zainal, 2020). Furthermore, it has been
evaluated that talent management is an organization-wide, all-inclusive strategy for hiring,
training, and retaining top-performing employees. In today’s competitive world, having a talent
management system in place is indispensable. TESCO can effectively promote practice of talent
management in their organisation workplace structure with the help of considering various
aspects. It will help entity to ensure more growth and long term sustainability through which
company can assure more competitive advancements as compared to other rivals. Mentioned
below there are some certain form of practices by considering which organisation can effectively
embrace talent management in an effective manner:

Present research report has been made on the theme of “ talent management”. While
undertaking this research analysis I have been gone through number of positive as well as
negative feelings. It has been evaluated by me that during the initial stage of research it is
essential for me to acquire authenticated information and data in order to conduct research with
more effectiveness. During this phase I face difficulties to collect information and data from
various sources. It has been underlined by me that during collection of information I undertake
comparatively more time than it is required this further affects overall research outcomes. In
addition to this, there were also some other obstacles that has been faced by me in order to
accomplish objectives of this research. This research goes through with various stages which is

required for me to undertake in effective manner in order to assure successful end outcomes. In
order to conduct research on talent management with great effectiveness I engaged in the process
of data collection for this I evaluated different sources such as internet, articles, books, journals
and more. In order to conduct this process with more effectiveness I invest more amount of time.
Furthermore, I effectively engaged in the process of sorting the articles in order to effectively
identify most recent and authenticated data and information, main behind this is to ensure that
present get accomplished with great authenticity. In addition to this it has been evaluated by me
that I also faced difficulties in accessing view point and perceptions of respondents that also
undertaken by lot of time. Due to all these obstacles sometime I felt as demotivated that affects
smooth operations of research activities.
However, despite of all these obstacles this research of talent management offered me
various opportunities for growth and development. By conducting this research I have acquired
different skills such as critical thinking, data collection and more through which I enhanced my
capabilities to conduct research in future with great effectiveness as well as efficiency. In
addition to this, I also acquired knowledge related to accomplishment of research objectives with
more efficient information and data. Present research facilitate me towards gathering
authenticated research by making application if critical thinking process. Furthermore, it has
been evaluated by me that present research enhanced my efficiency related to cover my skill
gaps such as communication skill, time management skill, data collection skill and more. Thus,
according to the above mentioned performance review analysis it has been evaluated that present
report is supposed to accomplish the importance of talent management for an organisation. This
project succeed in its aims in an effective manner as it covers all the essential aspects through
which proper understanding of this topic is acquired. All the activities of project went well in an
effective manner such as framing of project objectives, data interpretation, project outcomes and
more. This project allows me to identify me strength as well as weaknesses such as time
management, communication skill, data collection and more that has been developed by me
