The following reflection contains my assessment on the challenges, skills,
and knowledge that I gained in a ten weeks practice on time management. It

In the processing of learning time management skills, I faced the following
issues; first I had to adapt to new habits. I was not used to writing down what
I was about to do, set goals, or analyze task before doing it. The process of
learning time management introduced these habits to me. I started analyzing
tasks in terms of results required, urgency and importance and the
environment that am working on. Secondly, I started concentrating more on
the tasks assigned. I planned for activities that I was to do in a day and
closely followed the list. I also created conductive environment for effective
working condition by reducing distractions in the workplace. This enabled
me to concentrate on the task to deliver predetermined/ expected results
efficiently and effectively. Thirdly, I found freedom from the deadlines.
Completing tasks before the deadline gave me freedom to relax. This
reduced anxiety and pressure as a result of good time management. Fourth, I
was able to learn new methods of managing time. I learnt about Eisenhower
matrix of making decision on which tasks to handled first that improved my
ability to give priority of tasks based on a principle. Lastly, there was general
change in behavior. I changed my perspective and attitude on time
management. I became neat, organized, and time conscious in the workplace.
I also became more efficient and productive.
From this process of learning time management skills, I feel I can do the
following things better next time am learning a new skill; first, I will stop
being anxious to the process. Anxiety caused uneasiness and distress while
working on the new skills. I was unease figuring what my personality would
change to be as a result of learning a new skill. Secondly, is having a positive
attitude when learning a new skill. It was not easy for me to change by old
habits that led to bad time management. I continued with bad habits for
instance, over spending time on social media till the second week. Lastly, is
being patient for the result. At one point, I felt it was taking longer than
expected since I expected immediate outcomes of the learning process.
In conclusion, my time management skills improved that enhanced my
efficiency and effectiveness in the workplace. I was able to produce more,
