Part 1 - Crowd funding
In this Project we shall make use of the “Kickstarter.com” website” for a Crowdfunding
project. We shall analyse this website with the tools BigML and SPSS. The website
allows people with creative talents like games, project, and stage shows etc to make projects
so that crowds and outside people can fund their projects.
A talented young woman named Penny Robinson has lot of creative talent like singing,
writing painting but does not have the fund required further pursuit her creative interests.
So, for her project and her creative skills, she had collected the required information and data
for the crowd funding web site so as to collect the required money. Here is where we shall
assist her by studying her project details and then preparing a project specifically for the
crowd funding website to collect the required money.
We shall carry out the following tasks in our Project so that Penny gets the required amount
through the crowd funding web site,
 Study the collected data for analysis
 Any additional and significant information that will help in the project.
 For the project, we shall identify the most important attributes.
 To evaluate if the project will be successful.
 Keep more focus on the most important attributes.
 SPSS and BigML to be utilized for the project.
All the above points we shall evaluate and discuss so as to give the best information to Penny
and for her project to be successful(Brodzinski et al., 2013).
1. Data Explore
We shall start with the below given attributes and how using these we will study the
kick-starter data as shown in the below image,

We shall make use of SPSS and BigML, the two business intelligence tools for analysing the
data by using the kick starter as represented below,
In SPSS business intelligence tool,
We shall began by, clicking on the file>Import>Excel, after opening the SPSS Tool. Next, we
shall upload the Kick Starter data on the excel file as shown in the below image,
This will successfully complete the data exploration of Kick Starter as shown in the below
image,

In BigML tool,
Next we shall use the second Business Analysis Tool, “BigML” for exploring the Kick
Started data as shown in the below steps,
Go to BigML online.
Next, the provided data has to be uploaded by clicking on the source and same has been
shown in the below image,
The below image shows, that the we have successfully added the source,

Next, the data set has to be configured after successfully adding the source to the BigML tool.
To select the source file, click on the Configure data set and this is shown in the below image,
