INTRODUCTION Data can be determined as a set of valid informations that comprises of quantitative andqualitative variables which can be implemented for getting valid and better results at the last ofresearch. Apart from that, questionnaire is defined as a tool for receiving certain or true kind ofinformation from various respondents. Present report is based on City Stay hotel that is a smallB&B and established in central London. This assignment will covers about value and importanceof questionnaire along with a suggestion that what kind of data is required for collecting a validinformation about renovation of the Hotel.TASKWhy a questionnaire is the best method of data collectionQuestionnaire – This is most preferred method for collecting valid or true data for theresearch programme that provides a good assistance to the researcher so that better conclusioncan be received in a small period of time. In the context with City Stay hotel, Management isplanning for renovating the hotel so with the help of this method, they will able in determiningcurrent market trends and requirements of the customers in an easy manner. Church DLR TrainStation is prime place which is nearby the central London and where the hotel is situated andmost of travellers are visit this place on regular basis with their assorted purposes. It will beprove a prior opportunity to the management of City Stay Hotel through which they will be ablein increasing their revenue and sales figures (Chow, 2007). Some of the main advantages ofquestionnaire so that it can be proved that how this method is most appropriate for gatheringrelevant informations. They are discussed as under:Economical – This method is most suitable for collecting valid information. With thehelp of it, researcher can easily get reliable informations in a short period of time whichcan also beneficial for the researcher to complete research programme in a small periodof time. This method also known as cost saving because in this, cost of conducting theresearch programme is very low than the other methods of collecting information likepanel interviews, surveys etc. In this method, researcher only spend money for theprinting of questionnaire and postage charges.
