Introduction:
Strategic management is one of the primary sectors of the process of decision-making. The
surrounding where the company make operations are within unprecedented pressures. This is due to
the stiff competition and dynamic forces. Here, the information technology comprises of an
important role for detecting the modifications of various environmental factors and assess the
massive quantity of information, simulating district scenario, evaluate and aiding business to execute
and formulate various strategies (Hemmatfar, Salehi and Bayat 2010). Further, with the rise of the
latest technologies such as AI, the role is refined further where innovations arrive at the strategic
decisions in an independent way. The strategic information system can support decision-making
tasks and it is a software-based system for decision-makers to compile important data from personal
knowledge, documents, raw data and business models. This is to determine and resolve issues and
then make decisions. The following report evaluates the case of using Information system for
supporting decision making. For this Webexpenses is chosen and research is done on this company.
Next, strategic information system opportunities are identified. At last, the SIS opportunities are
investigated and the effect on the strategic position of the company is analyzed.
