INTRODUCTION Value and ethics play important role in accomplishment of desired goals. It justifies the behaviour of people working in an organisation according to their intentional activities. Ethical values includes integrity, honesty, responsibility and self discipline (Hampton and Welsh, 2019). It guides businesses what is needed and what is not according to the particular regulations and laws. It helps organisation in achieving prescribed goals in efficient manner. It minimizes risk and negative elements like discrimination and fraud from the organisation which leads to its successful growth. This report is based on Unilever which was established on 2 September 1929 and headquartered in London, England. It is a multinational company which offers consumer goods like food, supplements, beauty products, vitamins and minerals. This report will include concept of ethics and its significance in relation to organisation. It also includes ethical guideline, marketing and advertising laws, food and health regulations. This report further includes importance of team collaboration in an organisation. At the end, strategies are mentioned which are used to motivate team and consequences of poor collaborative working. MAIN BODY TASK 1 Concept of ethics and its significance in an organisation. Organisation consist of diversified people from different background who follow their own customs and beliefs. Ambience and decorum can be maintained with the help of ethical values which is necessary for every business (Lantos, 2018). Principles and guidelines should be followed so that all the employees behave according to the particular set of instructions. Employees of Unilever behave in particular way which creates positive environment and reduce conflicts and miss understanding at the workplace. Ethical values help Unilever in becoming multinational company with good brand image. It helps in strategic planning and decision making process which proves beneficial for organisation. Concept of ethicsinvolves defending, concept of wrong and right and systematizing of behaviours. It helps employees in choosing the right path which is required for the effective operations within the business. Employees performance also improved when they follow the concept of ethics. Values helps employees in fulfilling their roles and responsibilities which
results in higher growth and development. Knowledge and relevant informations are shared effectively with increased cooperation because of ethics and values. It creates the brand image and removes obstacles and negativity from the operations. Competitive challenges are easily accepted by Unilever because employees follow rules and regulations in ethical way. Values are essential part of organisation which decides their growth and failure. ï‚·Improve decision making:Strategic decision help organisation in taking right decisions on right time which help them in utilisation of all the resources in effective manner. Various laws and regulations are formulated to safeguard the rights of human which help them in creating brand image. Unilever always try to understand the behaviour of employees which help them in maintaining decorum in their organisation. They have started to take feedbacks and reviews of customers which help in modification of products according to the demand of market.
