The week 10 topic discusses the contemporary
development approaches in the Project management I
different Application systems. I have successfully identified
the differences between project management body of
knowledge and system engineering body of knowledge.
Based on the nature of project the most suitable life cycle
process needs to be chosen by the project manager while
conducting the project. In order to take effective decisions
system life cycle processes are very essential. On the
other hand, there are some technical processes needs to
be followed by the project managers while conducting any
project successfully. I have also learned about the two
different types of application system such as manual and
electronic.
In order to build project, program, portfolio management
activities for building maturity performance of the project
associates and project team members are much essential.
I have learned that while managing portfolio the
knowledge areas that are considered include portfolio
strategic management, portfolio performance
management, portfolio communication management, risk
management etc. I have learned that it is the role of the
project sponsors to invest needful capital to design and
evaluate any project.
