The spread of the covid-19 is creating many issues and challengesfor the Veekesy Slippers Lanka Pvt for effectively undertaking and conducting its business operations. Thus, at that time going digital is the one way to overcome and mitigate the challenge created by the sudden lockdown and strict social distancing norms. After evaluating my current skill I have understood that I fulfil some of the criteria to become a successful leader but there is room for improvement to achieve my leadership ambitions. From my work experience I have learned that experience in specific field is not the only element making a successful leader. It is essentials that leaders have mastered different people, professional and practical skills to get the best results. I will give my maxim efforts to improve my leadership skills so hat I can achieve my readership ambitions. 4.3 Identification of leadership requirements through diagnostic tools The concept of the leadership tends to be related with the practice which are used by the executives to develop a vision for the success of an organisation and also enables and guide the employees to adapt and achieve that vision (Cooper and Romeo, 2022). I have understood from the usage of leadership traits questionnaire ratings that I have to improve on several areas in order to master my leadership capabilities. This helped me compare my own perception of leadership skills an traits with perception of others so that I am able to understand my weaknesses clearly. In addition to this I also need to improve my confidence. 4.4 Application of Kolb's learning theory This is a popular learning theory because it supports individuals learning in systematic manner by following stages. The application of four stage process to supporteffective leadership learning it provided below:Concrete learning: In this stage the learner starts a new experience. I aim to create a detailed action plan for improving my skills.Reflective Observation: Here the learner reflects on new experience. Upon reflection I have realized tat the usage of digital technology for recording my progress will enhance implementation of action plan. Abstract Conceptualization: This focuses n creation of new ideas to adapt their thinking. I will be improving my thinking. I haveunderstood that firstly I need to organize my resource to ensure creation of a suitable plan. Active Experimentation: This stage focuses on applying knowledge to real world. I am organizing my resources and using digital technology to start my leadership development. 4.5 Skill development Plan In accordance with the leadership traits questionnaire I have understood that I need to improve my communication, confidence and empathy. In order to enhance articulation of communication I will enhance my knowledge of various communication theory. This includes learningaboutandapplyingvariouscommunicationtheoriessuchascommunication accommodation theory, human relations theory of communication and open system theory of communication. I will develop my emotional intelligence and empathy by leaning about different cultures and also understanding different emotional intelligence theories such as Goleman's emotional intelligence theory, dimensions of emotional intelligence etc. In order to enhance my confidence I will take use of meditation to deal with my anxiety issues. This will help me make progress towards becoming a better leader. 17
4.6 Link between skill development plan and organizational strategies I will be able to contribute better efficiency and quality towards organizational strategy with the help of better leadership skills. I will be able to ensure that the strategy is effectively implemented so that the best results are attained. This will help me use my other skills in a or productive manner. In addition to this I will also be able to promote usage of questionnaire and diagnostic tools among colleges so that they are also able to enhance their skill set and become more efficient employees. 18
