Introduction:
VPN is a secure network that may link individuals, branch locations, and company offices
through the internet. Data is delivered or received over a public network system by building a
virtual point-to-point connection with a large number of secured and verified connections. Read

VPN:
VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, and it allows customers to connect to a restricted
network securely and privately via the Internet. The VPN connects the organization's private
network to a remote site via "virtual" connections routed over the Internet. Organizations
enhance their security by adopting a VPN; anybody who obtains the encoded data will be unable
to decipher it.

How VPN created?
The VPN is built using a variety of protocols. A virtual point-to-point (PoP) connection over a
public network. It transmits encapsulated datagrams. VPN does not encourage robust
authentication by default.

Features in VPN:
i. Provides extensive connectivity across numerous offices in fixed locations in order to build
secure and reliable connections with remote computers.
ii. Multiple encryption techniques are used in advanced data security systems.
iii. SSL and IPSec are the two VPN protocols that are often utilized in WLAN.
Types of VPN and it’s Implementation:
Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) are classified into two types:
 Remote Access VPNs:
Remote Access VPNs allow the users to access all services and accounts that originated on that
network from a remote location by connecting to a private network. "The user establishes a
secure and private connection to the private network over the Internet. This type of VPN is very
helpful for both type of users that maybe business as well as home. If an employee is from
business category he may linked with the private network of company by using a remote access
VPN and can easily access files files and resources remotely on the private network, even he is
on vacation.
