A. Introduction
This article will give you the detailed information through analyzing and explaining the
changes that have impacted on the strategy of the chain of supermarket, how it operates and
how drivers change its images and affects organizational behavior when Covid19 happened.
In this report, we apply the methods of analysis and evaluation so that readers can visualize
easily the new strategy at Supermarket: Online shopping.
B. Major findings
I. LO1
1. Change in a business context
As a chain of supermarkets affiliated to a multi-industry company with many
departments, supermarkets that provide many consumer goods have become the preferred
choice for customers. Nevertheless, when the Covid19 pandemic appeared and showed no
signs of ending, the shopping at the supermarket encountered disadvantages in operation. Not
only that, both the customers as well as the staff of the supermarket are also worried when
coming to buy or work here.
Therefore, in this business context, supermarkets have to come up with a change
strategy to help their customers as well as their employees: Online shopping. The chain of
supermarket set up a system of information, allowing consumers to register for their account.
Then, consumers could go shopping online by using the website and application of
supermarket, paying online and delivering the goods to their registered address. In addition,
customers could also install this application on their smartphones so that they can shopping
online more convenient.
Although this strategy has both advantages and disadvantages, its benefits still
overweight its drawbacks.
2. Types of Supermarket change
The positive impact: Easier to reach more customer
The negative impact: Need to establish the new packaging method for the products

2.1. Similarity between two impact
For the chain of supermarket, both the positive or negative effects of the change in
online shopping operations are aimed at making the supermarket more adaptable to the
market during the Covid19 pandemic. Besides, two sides of impact of changes all affect all
important in the supermarket, both narrow angles in business and organizational problems.
Impact on the organization from general aspects (big issues) such as: operation, strategy, ... to
small issues in the company like training, prices, product and so on.
2.2. Difference

to make payments through multiple

VNpay, Moca and so on. That will be
the structure when customers make
payment when buying online
Storage material structural:
- Determine what kind of
packaging to package: carton box,
bubble bag, PVC bag, ...
- Find a supplier as well as a
storage for packaging materials:
+ Finding the supplier source for the
source of packaging materials
+ After purchasing it, supermarket need
to find where to store it, how to store it
so convenient for you when you pack
Price structure : Establish an
appropriate price structure for the
additional packaging systems. Not only
the cost of building the new team of
packaging system, but also the costs of
training the employees. Besides, in
order to sell online, supermarket need
to set up the clear method that how to
calculate: product price + shipping fee
+ additional packaging fee + possible
bank transaction fee and so on.
