stores INC. The public trade of the company was started in the new York exchange during
the year 1972 which recorded the trades of the company around $ 75 million with the help of
its 51 stores. Due to the rapid growth of the company Wal-Mart started working in 11 states
and 276 stores by the end of 70’s after this in the year 1980 the main club was opened which
was named Sam’s club which assisted the small business and the personalities and that was
the time when the first Walmart supercentre was released. In the early 1990’s the
organization became one of biggest retail industry in the whole nation. After this company
came in the Mexican market in the year 1995 in Canada, in the year 1996 in China, and by
the end of 1999 the business arrived into the European Union by arriving in the United
Kingdom market (Zhang, 2019).
Finally in the year 2003 Walmart looked after the environment and started to make
commitment towards the environment in order to upsurge the competence of the energy and
announcing the goals to supply 100 percent by renewable energy. It also started with the
thing in which they created zero waste and sold the products that could help in supporting the
people as well as the atmosphere (Reuter, Berndt, and Timm, 2017)
Today the company Walmart is still inspired from Sam’s Walton’s goals for good and great
worth and customer provision. The owner of the company Mr Sam was recognized as

someone who believed in leadership through his time of service. The main belief on which
the company Walmart was built an it also believed that the true leadership focuses on the will
service and this was the main principle that drove the choices of the company form the last 50
years. Half of the history of Walmart is totally based on the life of Sam Walton himself and
also the future of the company is also entrenched in the values of Sam Walton (Xie, Wu, and
Zeng, 2016).
The road to Walmart
The owner of the company Walmart was born in the year 1918 in kingfisher Oklahoma. In
the year 1942 when his age was 24 he joined the military. He then married Helen Robison.
When his military facility finished Helen and Sam shifted to a place called Iowa. Throughout
this time. Sam extended an experience of early trade and ultimately he started working his
own diversity store (Fay, Shipton, West, and Patterson, 2015).
In the year 1950 Waltson left for Bentonville after which Sam released Walton’s 5&10 in the.
They selected the place Bentonville since Helen desired to live in a small town and even
Sam also that thought that he could take the benefit from diverse hunting periods that was
provided by the four states had to propose after getting enthused through the initial success of
his store dime, and determined to bring even better value and opportunity to his consumers,
Sam opened the very first Walmart in the year 1962 at the age of 44 in Rogers, Arkansas
(Cha, Kim,Lee,. and Bachrach, 2015).
Changing the Face of Retail
The competitor believed that his ideas about a fruitful business by contributing low prices and
good service will never work. But eventually the company turned out to be a success and it
even exceed Sam’s anticipations. The company then went public during the year 1970 and
the company expanded. Sam then accredited the fast growth of Walmart in order to not just

to the lower down the costs that appealed the customers and the associates. Sam use to
totally rely on them to give the customer’s one of the best experience of shopping that would
keep the customer attracted towards the company.
Sam than pooled the vision for the company with his acquaintances in a way that was
ignored by the industry. He made all of them associates in the accomplishment of the
business and thought that partnership is something that would build the success of Walmart
(Hashmi, Ishak, and Hassan, 2018).
Once the new store of Walmart grew, Sam’s expectations also grew. In order to bring in the
new technologies and approaches to the retail industry he started experimenting with new
arrangements for the store which also included the the Walmart supercentre and Sam’s club
and soon he took the choice to take Walmart to Mexico. Wal-Mart’s success was totally build
on Sam’s fearlessness towards offering low priced and giving worth to the clienteles in the
country U.S. and beyond the standards of the company. (Anvuur, and Kumaraswamy, 2015).
Team effectiveness
Team effectiveness simply means a group of individuals who perform together in order to
accomplish their shared goals, ideas and the objectives (Herdman, Yang, and Arthur, 2017)
This is inclined by the following things
Social procedures and communications amongst the members of the group
access and constraints of the Resource
responsibilities and Clearness of the roles
Identification and commitment to the purpose of the group

enabling collaboration by the level of Skill,
resolution of conflict and understanding cross-function
The capacity of a group or an individual person to achieve their own ideas and the shared
goals. Teams are basically groups that share similar goals unavoidable and simultaneously.
The team consists of individual and each individual have ideas of their own but the gaols are
always the same (Abuzid, and Abbas, 2017)
It takes both parts!
Teams cannot be effective when the following two parts do not operate in balance. Some of
the teams fail to focus and see their common goals. In its place of that the individuals focus
on their own goals even after being a part of the team. The team members sometimes
compete with each other rather than reaching or achieving the common goals together (Han,
Liao, Taylor, and Kim, 2018).
Through this the other teams also fail to appreciate and allow the people to focus on
individual goal over shared goals. There is always an overlap among the team’s shared goals
and the individual goals. That makes everything calmer. But it also hazes the outlines and
upsurges the probability that an imbalance between the two will be recognized on an early
basis (Lee, and Hsieh, 2019)
Each team member has three responsibilities
Whether it’s the leader or any person individually. Each and every member of the team has
almost three duties in order to make sure the correct and good balance. It is always significant
for the members of the team to be committed and focused towards the shared goal. It is very
simple that if an individual is cannot be focused and committed towards the shred goals of the
company than that person should not be part of the team. It is very significant for all the
