2WELLBEING REPORT Introduction The quality of life refers to the general well-being of individuals and societies that satisfactions experienced by a person or group of people. Physical well-being generally includes good health, physical comfort, nutrition and physical activity. The prevention of pain and illness, as well as the performance of activities related to the individual’s ability to stand alone. The psychological aspects of quality of life are related to mental health, inscriptive states and stress- related anxieties. Now on days we are spending most of our time at our workplace.Every day we are dealing with different issues, different people and situations and anyone can be affect by mental health problems irrespective of our age, race, gender or social background1. Mental health illnesses take many different forms and affect people in different ways. There are solutions that can be built into our lives to help boost our mental wellbeing. Building these solutions into your life can be enjoyable and they can help to defend your wellbeing at times of stress. Well –being at workplace determines the steady development of a company. The topic is important for experts and managers responsible for managing and developing people in their organizations. Welfare in the workplace is even more important to employees themselves. The time that we spend at our workplace has a great impact on the quality of our lives. The quality of our life formed in the context of the company, depends directly on organizational culture space processes and is in line with the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual people’s needs2. The idea of my project is to develop a wellbeing application that everyone can have access. The aim is to provide information and options to staff and students. So will give an information about services in London and nationwide. Prosperity will help you make your life more fulfilled. My plan is to support staff and learners with wellbeing as they can come to me and share any problems that they may have and I will direct them to organizations that may help them3. Research Values The objectives are to improve the mental health and wellbeing of the workers so that they feel more secure and safe as well as gain the potential to perform efficiently. It is important to ensure that the rules and regulations are properly followed to maintain the health and safety of workers and enhance their performance to contribute to the business performance.Based on the values and beliefs of the organization, it is important to make decisions, analyze and interpret the evidences for informing the staffs about the legal procedures, legislations, laws, rules, policies and procedures of the organization. The job satisfaction is related to the training, skills development opportunities and the delegation of tasks for the employees. It can not only influence them to make effective decisions, but will also enhance the workforce performance through better management of skills, knowledge and power all throughout. The Health and Safety at Work Act enables WAES to provide the staffs with safety policy statement and even provide general information about the health and safety issues that may be experienced at the workplace. This allows for setting health and safety objectives and places the health and safety policies as major responsibility of the line management at WAES8. The employees’ health and wellbeing become the topmost priority of the organization because the business performance and profit level to be achieved is dependent on that. One of the most effective procedure of maintaining proper health and wellbeing at workplace is the degree of autonomy and power provided to them, based on which, they will feel much free and gain a level of discretion to make effective business decisions. It mainly focuses on enhancing the quality of life through improvement of physical and psychological wellbeing along with prevention of illnesses10.The skills and knowledge of workers are improved by obtaining their feedbacks and responses, furthermore manage combining the effective induction procedure for managing the terms and conditions and ensure safety and wellbeing at the workplace. The customers’ services are managed with the proper support of the HR manager who makes sure that the staff turnover ratio is reduced and the clients are provided with proper services as expected from the organization’s workers.The employer do hold the roles and responsibilities to of taking care of the needs of people working within the organizations while the manager or leader of the organization strengthens the level of motivation and encouragement. There are many people who suffer from mental health illnesses irrespective of their age, race, gender or social background. The partnership working helps in resolving the mental health problems and facilitates the management of ethical decision making. They will understand the significance of improving continuously through enhanced learning and their development needs will be assessed at regular intervals. This can create a positive mindset among them, facilitate positive behaviors to focus on one task at a time and ensure delivering the right services to the clients based on their needs and preferences13. As a responsible leader of the organization, it would be my responsibility to take care of their needs and preferences, furthermore make the lives of people better and enhance the quality too. The staffs would learn to share their problems and make the leader or manager of the organization find out relevant ways to overcome the problems that they might be facing. It is always important for the leader to possess proper interpersonal, creative thinking and decision making skills so that the tasks are completed within the assigned time with much ease and efficiency. There were various legislations, laws, policies and procedures required to followed by the staffs of WAES for providing the best quality customers’ services, furthermore make them informed about the kinds of products and services delivered. On the other hand, the staffs must be informed about the legislations, policies and procedures so that they could maintain high standards of health, safety and wellbeing at all levels throughout the organization. The Data protection principles ensure keeping the information of clients confidential and secure so that it does not fall in wrong hands and must be kept safe from any unauthorized access. As the leader of the organization, I would like to provide proper training programs to improve their skills, knowledge and expertise so that it could be easy for managing the staffs. The staffs would learn to become more competent, handle their responsibilities responsibly and at the same time, facilitate group thinking behaviors and communicate with each other to promote teamwork, coordination of work and prevention of discrimination within the workplace. From the wellbeing report, it was also understood that the customer satisfaction level increased with the delivery of better customers’ services, which should be possible once they wereprovidedwithrelevantinformationabouttheorganizationalvalues,policiesand procedures. This would improve the physical and psychological wellbeing and prioritize on the workplaceefficiencythroughhigherlevelofmotivationandencouragementwithinthe workplace.
