TASK 1 INTRODUCTION The current discussion is based upon the professionalism and dual professionalism in education area. The reflective account is based on my concept of professional and dual professionalism in education in comparisons with my peers. Dual professionals are those teachers and trainers who have subject or vocational expertise as well as teaching or training in education sector. The reflective study defines my role in the specialist area and comparison with other peer in the college. The way in which professional values affects my practices in the specialist area has been discussed in this study. PROFESSIONALVALUEINFLUENCEOWNPRACTICESAREAOF SPECIALISM Professionalism in education includes a variety of complex skills and interactions with students, staff and parents. On the other hand, dual professionalism is where a teacher is an expert in their subject as well as in their teaching practice. The concept of professionalism and dual professionalisms is very important aspect in the education sector for teacher. Professionals always acts with honesty and integrity to maintain high standards of ethics and professional behaviours in order to providelearners support.(Calderhead, 2012). Dual professions are teachers and trainers who are both vocational subject specialists and teaching experts, committed to developing their experience in both aspects of their role to ensure the best outcomes for their learners. My area of profession is business teacher level that is highly influenced by the professional values. I have effectively performed dual professionalism at workplace at the time of delivering an effective training and learning to students. A high quality teaching and learning experience should include qualified and experience lectures, motivated students. According to my profession, my professional value is to maintain high quality of teaching and learning, sharing best practices, updating specialist knowledge and skills, targets for raising personal standards,workingtocurrentawardingorganisationrequirementsandengaginginCPD opportunities in improving professional qualifications (Zepeda, 2012). I have considered all these professional values in my profession through which I am able to perform in excellent manner at workplace. These professional value helped me in delivering high quality of teaching and learning to students. As compare to other peer whose profession is health and safety teacher,
English teacher and fashion designer. I have effectively used professional practices within organisation. In my profession, there is a great impact of professional value such as meeting government regulatory body policies and procedures. I have followed government regulation, legislation and policies in order to deliver high quality of training to students. I have focused on high level standards that has decided by government and followed all required policies and procedures. I have performed dual professionalism in education and teaching sector. I have followed all professional standards as compare to other peer colleagues. I have regularly conducted training session for students as they can gain effective knowledge about subject and engage with CPD opportunities.I have also engaged with high quality of teaching and learning at workplace through which I can improve my professional qualification. By help of daily teaching and training activities, my knowledge, skill, ability and profession has become more improved and enhanced at workplace (Buxton, Burns and De Muth, 2012). This helped me in improving my professionalism and dual professionalism. I have also considered professional value that is to update specialist knowledge and skill that supported me in improving my dual professionalism. I have engaged with continuous professional development practices and opportunities that has been provided by organisation for employees and students. By help of this program and opportunities I have successfully improved my personality and professionalism. This dual professional has helped me in large manner by which I have successfully learnt lots of new things,knowledge,skillsetc.andeffectivelyperformmyrolesandresponsibilitiesby considering all professional value's and ethics. During session in the college, I have analysed that I have followed all practices and policies for delivering high quality of training and education to students. TASK 3 INTRODUCTION A stakeholder is anyone who has an interest in the institution and school, colleges and universities and they are directly and indirectly influence by activities and functions. In the United Kingdom, there is a great value of educational sector and it plays a very significant role in the country. There are various kinds of stakeholders that directly and indirectly influence by this area. In order to deliver an effective training in education and promote its significance, there are great roles of stakeholder and external bodies in the sector. Being a business teacher in the university of London, I have various kinds of roles and responsibilities to deliver effective training and education to students. My main aim and role is to deliver an effective training and education to students, so as they can improve their knowledge and ability regarding subject (Grohmann and Kauffeld, 2013). I have effectively contributed in delivering impressive training to them. External bodies and stakeholder have effectively helped me in delivering effective education and training to students in the school. Following are some significant role of stakeholder and external bodies that have supported me in performing my roles and responsibilities in the training- Stakeholders like government have developed several kinds of legislation, policies and practicesthathavesupportedmeincarryingoutvariousactivitiesandfunctions regrading education and training in more appropriate manner. With help of government, I have successfully organised effective training and education for student at workplace. In the school and college teacher have great role in improving training and development for students. Teacher makes efforts in development within school as they conduct training session, organise periodic course etc for students (Gibbs, 2012)
The parents are also one of the significant stakeholder in the education sector who provides financial support in delivering various facilities to learner and teachers. By providing financial support, parents help school in growth and progress. Various kinds of area can be improved and developed within school with help of parents’ support (Kinnie and Swart, 2012). Stakeholders such as the employers also have great role in the education sector who have responsibilitytocreateeffectiveacademicenvironmentwithincollegeandschool throughwhichstudentscanbemotivatedandencouragedforeffectivelearning (Professional practices,2017). Impact of stakeholder and external bodies in education and training Following are some impact of stakeholders and external bodies in education and training- Being a business teacher in the college, I have analysed that external bodies have supported me in large manner for delivering effective training and learning to students. As governmental bodies have developed several kinds of law, regulation, legislation and policies regarding training and education sector that has helped me in conducting training session in more appropriate and effective manner. By developing effective policies, legislation, regulation regarding education systems, government helped me in conducting effective education program. Parents are also considered to be as important stakeholders in the education sector who provides effective financial support to college and schools (Shek and et. al., 2013). Effective involvement of parents in the school affairs and training helps in delivering high quality educational experience to students. I have analysed that with help of parents’ support, I have gain opportunities to work in high quality academic environment at workplace. Professional organisations play a very crucial role in the training and education. With help of professional bodies, college and school can gain security and financial support. With assistance of these bodies, quality and effectiveness of training and education can easily improve and students can enhance their learning. By aid of these institutions,
teacher can also enhance their personality and professionalism because they have chance to improve their career. Importance of working in partnership with employers and other stakeholders in education and training In the education and training sector, it is very important to work in partnership with employers and other stakeholders because they directly and indirectly affect the quality and outcome of education for learner as well as teacher. With help of partnership, quality of learning and education can enhance and improve. Individual can improve skill, knowledge and idea of subject with help of working in partnership. This aspect also helps in reducing additional cost and expenditures related to learning and education. Being a business level teacher within college, I have assessed that there are several kinds of benefits for teacher which can be gained by working in partnership with employer within education sector such as it provides access to rich and varied learning environments (Pedler, Burgoyne and Boydell, 2013). It contributes to teachers’ professional development and enhance their job satisfaction. With help of partnership, teacher can develop wide range of social and personal skills and provides opportunities to students to practice these abilities in a real work context. I have also assessed that working in partnership with employers provides opportunities to teacher for improving their personality and professionalism. It helps in developing a rich and varied learning environment at workplace that is beneficial for both students and teachers. There are various financial as well as professional opportunities that can be gained by teacher by forming partnership or working with employers in the education sector. CONCLUSION From this entire report, it has been concluded that stakeholder and other institution plays a very crucial role in the education and teaching sector. There are various kinds of stakeholders within the education sector such as parents, students, government, educational organisation etc. that are directly and indirectly affected by the training and education. It has been also concluded that governmental bodies have developed several kinds of law, regulation, legislation and policies for training and education sector that have supported teacher in improving quality and effectiveness of training and education.
