SUMMARY
Tourism is a social and cultural and economic phenomenon that is able to entail the
movements of the people from one country to another that is outside of their usual environment
for personal or business professional purposes Weiler & Ham (2001). This journal summarises
how tourism can provide the tourists experiences that can get their heart pounding with joy and
thrill. This has included the wild life tourism which is referred to the observation and the
interaction with the local animal and the plant life’s that in their natural habitats. This is a very
amazing experiences for those which have never before the seen such animals. It also
encompasses the segments such as the eco-tourism safari tours and mountain tourism among
others for allowing the tourism to protect the wildlife.
Wildlife tourism is an element of many nations travelling for the observation and
interaction with the local animals. It has been known to include eco-tourism, animal friendly
tourism and other high-intervention activities. Wildlife tourism can have disturbances to the
animals in their natural habitats. This results in the frightening animals specially during the
sensitive times of their life cycle and are said to have an adverse effect on the breeding. The
feeding of the wildlife by the tourists is said to be the impact the social behaviour patterns.
However, in many ways large tourists and travels visiting the wildlife destination contribute to
the conservation and the improvement of the condition for the animals. This flow of people
keeping the poachers at the bay from the killing some of the valuable animals have given the
wildlife tourism some sustainability in practice.
As far as the tourism industry has been concerned it has been found that the showing of
how the precious species can legitimately enrich the tourism business without being harmed. It
has been recognized that the tourism in wildlife is so strong that it is five times more profitable
than the illegal trade that took place in poaching. This is the factor that has allowed the
protection of the animals rather than killing them Newsome (2020). It also allows the local
community to be able to gain better economic advantages that has been the key towards the

success of the wildlife tourism. Places like African countries which are not strong economically
are benefitting from the wildlife tourism that takes place in enhancing the GDP. The value of
wildlife tourism has also increased in other countries such as Brazil, Germany, China, India,
Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand, the UK and the USA. This tourism if done properly
has more benefits than drawbacks and thus has been considered to provide heart pounding
experiences for the tourists.
