Introduction
A sustainable resource is a kind of resource which is plenty in its amount and it tends to
get refilled. It is a kind of resource that can be utilized for the purpose of making energy without
it being becoming less in amount or even casing any form of danger. For the study of this
assignment, the wind is considered to be sustainable energy. The aim of this research is to
understand the importance of utilizing and even managing wind which will help in bringing great
success in the upcoming future.
Background of the study
Sustainable energy is the preparation of utilizing energy in a method that tends to meet
the requirement of the present situation without creating any sort of difficulty for the people in
the upcoming future. One of the most significant difficulties that the humans are facing in the
present scenario is meeting with the world’s need for electricity, cooling, heating and even the
power for various transportation in a sustainable way. Various studies that are being conducted
in this field indicates the fact the about one billion of people tends to lack electricity and about
three billion of people tends to depend on the fuels such as wood, animal dung and the charcoal.
These are however considered to be one of the major cause of the pollution of the air and also the
significant cause of the global warming of the earth. When reference is being made on the
procedures of producing energy, the term sustainable is often connected with renewable energy.

3WIND AS A SUSTAINABLE RESOURCE
In the general sense, renewable energy such as the solar, wind and hydroelectric are considered
to the major source of renewable energy. Wind energy is considered to be one of the significant
sources of sustainable energy. It does not pollute. It is considered to be unlimited and it also
tends to reduce the utilization of fossil fuels which is the main cause that lies behind the growth
and origin of the greenhouse gases. On the other hand, it is to be noted that the greenhouse gases
are the leading cause of global warming which is one of the significant problems which is world
is going through in the present times, on the other hand, it is to be noted that the wind energy is
also considered to be the native energy because wind is available practically everywhere on that
of the planet. It actually helps in the reduction of the import of energy and also helps in the
creation of wealth. It also tends to increase the rate of employment as well. It is mainly because
of these reasons, producing electricity through wind energy along with its efficient utilization
tends to contribute to its sustainable development. Therefore, it is very important to understand
the importance of the wind as sustainable energy so that it can be utilized in a greater extent
creating more source of energy without causing much danger in the present and in the upcoming
future.
Research aims and Objectives
The aim that tends to lie behind the conduction of the research is to understand the
importance of the wind as a valuable source of renewable energy so that it can be utilized to its
fullest extent to have a good living condition in the present and a better upcoming future.

Literature Review
Review of storage schemes for wind energy systems
Since the time of 1996, wind energy is considered to be the significant source of energy
which is fast developing. However, it is to be noted that despite having various advantages, it
cannot be utilized as the source of electricity in the regions of the great plains because of its
nature of being discontinuous (Hasan et al., 2013). This discontinuous nature of the wind will be
produce discontinues power to the grid which will lead to inconsistency, irregularity and even
problems of power on the system of the grid. However, the solution that can be taken into
account for the purpose of solving the problem is combining the turbine of the wind with the
storage system of the energy. Four different types of storage system of the energy to minimize
the power that tends to get fluctuated into the grid are being analyzed.
Progress and recent trends of wind energy technology
Apart from the enhancement of the technology that is being used for the purpose of the energy
technology, the pattern of the wind energy technology that is being followed along with the capable
challenges has been studied here thoroughly. It is being assumed that the vertical Axis Wind Turbine
(VAWT) tends to dominate the technology of wind energy. One of the advantages of the vertical axis wind

turbine is that it requires less amount of space for the purpose of the operation. However, the point that is
to be noted that despite consuming the less amount of space, it is capable of producing more energy in
comparison to the others. On the other hand, if the process of the fish schooling concept can be
implemented, there is a greater chance of the advancement of wind energy. Several studies that have
been conducted indicate the fact that the capacity of the wind turbine got increased to about 40 to 40
times since the last three to four decades (Islam, Mekhilef, and Saidur 2013). Progress and recent trends
of wind energy technology. Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, 21, pp.456-468. On the other
hand, with the progression of the capacity of the wind energy, the want of the storage system of the wind
has also increased. However, it is to be noted that apart from the many storage systems of the energy,
batteries and the fuel cells are considered to be the most promising devices which tend to meet with the
demands in the RE system. Though the technology of wind energy is being established, it can be said
that it has been advanced yet and therefore there are many sectors in his field which can be improved.
The improvements, on the other hand, will lead to the reduction of the expense of the wind energy.
Location optimization of wind power generation–transmission systems under uncertainty
using hierarchical fuzzy
The want of utilizing the wind energy is constantly increasing all across the world since the
demand for the energy is getting enhanced, however, apart from the blow of the wind, different forms of
the social media and even the local criteria are important for the location optimization of the generation of
the wind power. In order to understand, the DEA approach for the making of the decision on the location
of the wind plants is being initiated. For the purpose of verification and validation of the results that came
out from the DEA model, PCA that is the principal component analysis and the NT that is the numerical
taxonomy is being utilized (Azadeh, Rahimi-Golkhandan and Moghaddam, 2014) The framework or the
model was being implemented or examined on twenty-five different countries along with the five regions
in each of the region. However in addition, two other different countries are being considered as the
consumers of the energy which are being generated. The results tend to indicate that the significance of
the immediacy of the consumers in the establishment of the wind plant. On the other hand, it is to be

noted that the fuzzification of the indications which are totally uncertain tends to lead to a more realistic
approach to the locality problem of the facility.
Wind energy assessment considering geographic and environmental restrictions in Sweden:
A GIS-based approach
Since the wind is available in all parts of the world, it is leading the decision-makers to
think more about the low source of the carbon energy as the energy produced from the wind
tends to reduce the dependence of the nations of the fossil fuels. It also leads towards the
maintainable development of both the climate and the energy. However, it is to be taken into
account that the power of the wind has significant impact on the environment and therefore the
constraints that are being caused because of the utilization of the and must be taken into account
in order to reach the main goals of sustainability which concerns the biodiversity and the services
of the ecosystem. The national goal has been established by Sweden concerning the
development of the wind has been set to about 30tTWh by the year 2020 (Siyal et al 2015). It is
to be noted that in such a situation it is being assumed that 20 TWh will be coming from the on-
shore wind energy resource. Therefore, it can be considered that the development of wind
energy in Sweden tends to play a significant role in achieving the future source of energy and
targets related to that of the environment. The conclusion that can be made from this analysis of
this study is that there is the huge potentiality for Sweden to possess sufficient wind energy and
the resource of the land are also available for the installation of the wind energy as well. These
together will be able to meet the future renewable energy targets in Sweden.
Impacts of wind energy on the environment

disadvantages as well. The wind turbines tend to have great danger for the wildlife creatures. It is
very much noisy and it also tends to create visual pollution. It is to be noted that though the cost
of the wind turbines is slowly decreasing, it tends to be very much expensive still. One of its
greatest impacts is on the surface of the lands. Though it is considered that it will be having a
great impact on the upcoming generations, more effort and devotion must be given in
understanding the concepts and the impacts of the wind power so that the society can make the
right decisions by understanding and knowing both the advantages and disadvantages of the
development of the wind power.
Research Methodology
Data collection Method
The process of the data collection is considered to be the process in which various
resources are being collected and even measured concerning the subject matter. It is to be noted
that method of collecting the data is however done in a systematic way. However, the method of
the data collection is being conducted in two different ways which are the primary data
collection method and the secondary data collection method. Primary data collection method is
being done by the conduction of the interview, questionnaires, or through the survey which is
being conducted among a smaller group of people. On the other hand, the secondary data
collection tends to depend on the researches that are being conducted in the past in order to
collect information ad facts. It tends to depend on various sources like articles, journals which
are reviewed by the peers and many others. However, it is to be noted that for the conduction of
this survey, data collection technique will be utilized through the conduction of the survey
among 50 people who tends to stay in remote placed and who do not possess the electricity in
their houses.

Data analysis method
Data analysis method is the process of analyzing, cleansing , changing and designing the
information’s. The main aim of the data analysis method is to support the making of the decision
and even find out various insights of the subject so that better conclusions can be suggested or
recommended. The two methods of the data analysis method are the qualitative and the
quantitative data analysis technique. Qualitative data analysis method is the variety of procedures
whereby the researcher shifts from the information that is being gathered into some framework
of explanation, understanding or the analysis of the examined situations. Additionally, the
quantitative data analysis procedure is the methodical way of investigation strategies which are
being used during the time of the collection of the numerical information. It tends to provide help
to the researcher for changing what is being observed within the numerical data. This
quantitative data analysis procedure will be undertaken in order for the purpose of analyzing the
information’s that are being gathered from the survey.
Sample Size
The technique of sampling which will be utilized for the purpose of the research is the
probability and the non-probability sampling. However, apart from this, it is to be noted that the
random sampling will be utilized for the purpose of gaining better understanding of the subject
matter in which the research is being conducted.
Ethical Issues
During the conduction of the research. The strict guideline will be followed in order to
collect the information’s for the primary data, none of the participants will be forced tp take part
in the survey. On the other hand, a form of consent will be given to every participant which they

must sign before taking part. This will help in understanding that none of the participants were
being forced but rather they are taking part by their own will. On the other h and, it is to be
noted that no logo or any symbol of a specific company should not be there in the survey paper
as it will be then indicating a form of advertisement. It should be conducted in such a manner so
that it shows that the research is done mainly for the purpose of academics during the conduction
of the research, if any form of permission is required from the authority that must be first taken
and the authorization letter from the University must also be shown. On the other hand, it is to
be noted that in order to carry out the secondary research, it is very important to carry out the
references in order to avoid any form of activity that is related or connected to plagiarism. It is
very important to note that during the conduction of the research, it is very important to follow
the rules and regulations. None of the regulations must be violated and the ethical guidelines
must be followed during the conduction of the research.
Research Limitations
No matter how well a research is being planned, it is bound to have certain limitations.
The first limitation that can be taken into account during the conduction of the search is the
framework of time. The frame of time is considered to be one of the biggest limitation of the
research. On the other hand, one of the significant limitation of the research that can be
considered is the availability of the resources. There might be situations in which the resources
which are very much needed for the conduction of the research might not be available or are
totally scare. On the other hand, the response that is gained from the participants might not be
good enough to come to a conclusion. Apart from these, gaining the permission for the
participants for the conduction of the interview can also be considered to be a great limitation.
