Women’s empowerment is indicative of the process by taking recourse to which the
women are promoted to participate in the different sectors. The women in the society feel
motivated in the event of being empowered in the society. It can pave the path for building a
strong economy that can improve quality of the life of people in the society. The women can
take the decisions when they are empowered that can help in improving the condition of their
life. The empowerment of the women can help them in emerging as independent people who
would be able to handle the problems in the society (Brown, Platt and Beattie 2015). The
participation of the women is essential in the arena of decision making which can be
instrumental in empowering them. It can end the problem of hunger that exists in the world
that can create a better world in the future. The women can act as the driver that can help in
mitigating the hunger within the world. This essay discusses about empowerment of the
women that can help in ending the hunger of the world.
Women carry out various kinds of roles within rural areas like the farmers, farm
workers and the entrepreneurs. The women form the backbone in the rural society as they
involve themselves in various kinds of work in the villages. Women in the villages make the
contributions to that of process of food production and that of food processing. The women
process the food which is available that helps in taking care of the element of food security of
the community. The women make up 45 percent of the total of the agricultural labour force
within the framework of the developing countries. It has been found to range from that of 20
percent in the Latin America to the 60 percent in Africa and in Asia (News.un.org 2019).
The energy that the rural women have helps in permeating across different parts of the food
system. It helps in diversification of that of sustainable agriculture that is instrumental in
promoting bio-fortification. It plays a crucial role in reducing food loss and that of waste. The
women helps in supporting food processing which is instrumental in creating way for that of
improved nutrition.

The women who are empowered helps in improving social status of women.
Improving status of women bears a direct influence on that of food security and that of
nutrition. The nutrition of the children can be improved when the status of the women are
improved in the society. The women should be allowed to control additional household
income that can help them in spending the right amount of money on the food and the
education of the children (Patel et al. 2015). The women in the society being treated in an
equal manner like the men can help in serving the cause of the future generations.
Empowering of the rural women can improve well-being of that of children and that of the
community. It can aid in the process of economic growth of the countries in the longer span
of time.
The women should be provided with the opportunity of getting access to that of the
productive resources in Africa and Asia that can improve food security. The women should
get the right amount of the social protection and that of market opportunities that can
augment position of the women in the society. It can help the women in taking the major
decisions that can prove to be beneficial for the development of society. Policy interventions
can empower that of rural women and it can close the gender gap within the framework of
rural labour markets (Malapit et al. 2017). Investments should be made in that of
productivity-enhancing technologies that can reduce drudgery of the people. It can aid the
women in the rural areas in laying emphasis on that of productive activities.
Growth has taken place in the population that have been instrumental in creating the
food insecurity within the world. The slowdown within the global economy have led to the
shortage of the food in the world. The estimate has revealed that around 795 million people
within the world are living in an undernourished state in between the years 2014-2016 (Singh
et al. 2018). The people in the present time do not get the right amount of food for leading a
healthy life. The women can help in addressing the hunger and that of malnutrition within the
