Short Term Goals In the next 1-3 years I see myself being a part of recognized multination organisation as a marketing manager. My biggest strength is communication. I have the ability to convey my views and opinions across in an effective manner. For the next 1-3 years I would like to focus on my ability of leadership. This emphasis will help me in leading a group of members towards organizational goals. I would be able tochannelize my interpersonal strength to deal with challenges that are being faced along with. The technical & leadership behaviour that I want to develop is building trust. I believe that this building trust requires a lot of hard work but rewards in a long term. The biggest benefit that I will derive when focusing on this behaviour is that people who are associated with me directly or indirectly will feel proud as their views and opinions are heard and respected throughout. Initially I have to learn to market myself to be more perceived as more competent. This will help me in landing a good position with a multinational organisation. I have to gather as much as possible relating to the market and industry in which I want to pursue. This will help me in gathering the ideal skills and understand the manner in which technology operates. Self-educate is the practice I have to develop so that experiences and knowledge can be channelized for further growth. The crucial skills and behaviours which are required in a marketing role are team work, communication, adaptability and creativity. These skills will assure that I am able to do well in the current job. Long Term Goals In the next 10 years, I wish to own a marketing agency operating throughout the United Kingdom. I have basic set of skills of communication and leadership which are required to meet my long term goals but they need proper and continuous grooming to achieve as I am not yet confident that I can run my own business. I indeed have some of the personal goals of settling down and looking after my family that may hamper the professional growth. I have to frequently be with my parents due to some of their health complication and they are priority for me. When it comes to choosing professional growth or family support I would choose family. There are numerous skills and capability that I have to work upon to make sure that I am confident and capable enough to run my own business. I initially have to make sure that I am proficientleadership capabilityI should be able to run and influence a number of people to follow my vision and path. There should be a sufficientdecision making capabilityas business environment today is ever changing. I should have appropriate technical skillsand must be able to use all the platforms supported with appropriate
knowledge. I can further enhance myinterpersonal skillso that I am able to have an effective conversation and motivate the people as well. Goals and Objectives for SMART criteria To achieve best presentation award by means of improving my interpersonal skill through watching debates and presentation in the time span of 6 months. To develop leadership capabilities through simulation exercises within a time frame of 9 months. To win best salesperson award by bringing maximum revenue to the company through sales of electronic products in the next financial year.
