INTRODUCTION
Work based learning termed out as educational strategy in which student offers real life
work experience by application of academic and technical skills. This also leads to develop
employability skill within an individual (Gomes, Jones and Mesquita, 2018). Therefore, this is
defined as one of crucial tool that needs to be in use to develop staff and maintain their
effectiveness. It is skill that is inclusive of internship, mentoring and apprenticeship etc. and this
is program that are mainly targeted to bridge the gap between doing and learning. This is one of
the effective learning that assist with career development of the students by focussing over their
extended learning opportunities and employability skills (Work-Based Learning Definitions,
2018). Therefore, it will help in terms to undertake better course of action to attend the desired
outcomes.
The present report is based on work based learning to develop effectiveness in future
career role. However, study will lay emphasise on following things as personal and professional
training for future career role, identification will be done on personal and professional.
Furthermore, work based plan will be framed out to undertake evaluation that how employee
motivation can get improved. Lastly, reflection will be undertaken in aspect of learning with all
task.
MAIN BODY
TASK 1
Future career role and explain what personal and professional training require for future career
role.
Creation of health work-life balance is crucial to lead happy and productive lifestyle. This
can have positive impact in well-being and work of employee (Fergusson, Allred and Dux, 2018
Jackson, 2018). I look forward to develop Managerial skill as in future I want to work as
Managerial executive in any organisation. For this, I need to develop personal and professional
training to undertake future career role effectively. Also, I will learn and develop my skill with
study of staff manual, interviewing staff, seek feedback from colleagues and study dedicated
magazine etc. I must say that professional knowledge helps to person to develop the core
efficiency that can assist to perform the person in better and effective manner.
I have joined the workplace as management trainee in the marketing department of ABC
enterprise. During that time, I came to know that personal development plays the crucial role in

growth of career. I have faced the lot of this there that can affects the person to be more
productive. In order to develop effective managerial skill, I needs to look over to develop
personal and professional training by developing core skills. In terms to be the successful in the
future, I need to put the major focus on developing my personal and professional competencies
and that can be honed, developed and learned with following activities as are-
Study for professional qualification- To develop the personal and professional development
skill, I must say that an individual can undergo with some professional qualification that can
enhance his knowledge in developing the core skill of the individual (Baartman, Kilbrink and de
Bruijn, 2018). Thus, professional qualification can help to develop core efficiency of the
employees.
Internship and volunteering- In the graduation course, an individual needs to undergo with
some internship course so that he can able to know about the professional boundaries. This
internship programme can also helps to build up skills and confidence level of the individual. In
order to gain the experience in the supportive capacity and to enhance professional skills this
could be beneficial.
Part time work- In this it can be stated that, management and leadership skills are core that can
be built with part time employment. By engaging in the department that provides supervisory
roles such as hospitality staff, work with factory workers and reception work etc. This can leads
to enhance the skill of an individual.
TASK 2
Identification on personal and professional learning and development needs for future career
role.
At the workplace, I have encountered issues that is affecting the profitability and
productivity of the enterprise. Henceforth, ineffective performance of the staff highly impacts the
working of the individual. It has been found out that organisation is facing the difficult tome die
to underperformance of staff, poor communication and all leads to compromise on quality,
impact the employer turnover rates. In order to cope up with this kind of the issues, this is crucial
to develop and manage managerial skill that can helps an individual to develop the core
efficiency. In future, I want to see my self on the role of Managerial authority. To develop the
personal and professional learning and develop needs for future goal I wants to put core focus on
developing the following skills as are-

 Interpersonal skill- This stated that management role are relate with people and being
able to build the successful relationship is integral process. From my work experience of
past few months, I came to know that to lead a team it is crucial to earn the respect of
colleagues. To do it, one should know how to deal effectively with people. Social
activities, team building training and maintaining professional boundaries can be
effective way to develop good relationship with colleagues.
 Communication and motivation- Communication can be defined as the essence of the
management. Effective leaders needs to master all forms of communication and this is
inclusive of including written, listening and verbal skill. In order to be the effective team
manger there is needs to have effective line of communication between the senior
management and front-line staff (Guthrie, 2019). Thus communication encourages
employees as they come to know that how to deal with people and task. Therefore, I need
to develop communication skill so this can creates the positive working environment
within organisation and this leads to creates happy and motivated employees.
 Planning and strategic thinking- It is the job of manager to think of the bigger picture
and to put focus on task and responsibilities effectively. By developing planning and
strategic thinking, the employees can able to be more proficient. I nee to set the priorities
in line with goals of company, reviewing the system and policies and attending training
and managing the activities of the team. This can be helpful to be the person more
productive in terms to accomplish his day to day task. I also need to enhance my strategic
thinning so that in future I become capable to develop better plan of action and I can be
able to encourage innovation to bring change within the team.
 Problem solving and decision making- At the managerial position, an individual needs
to deal with the crucial and he has to take steps towards to solving issues on the daily
basis. It requires me to develop outstanding attention in detail level and this ability can be
helpful to me to remain calm and under pressure. I must say that, I need to develop the
creative thinking as this can help me to come with the innovative solutions and this can
also minimise the impact on the team and business as a whole. Being able to quickly
weigh up the pros and cons about the situation can helps to make an informed decision.
 Commerical awareness- I must say this is one of the crucial skill that can help to
sharpen the managerial skill within an individual. This is skill that is very huge in

demand now a days. If an individual needs to progress on the management level this is
crucial to understand the marketplace so that managerial skill can be develop effectively
and efficiently.
 Mentoring- In order to be the business focused decision makes the managers need to
play the supportive role. I must say that to be at senior level an individual needs to
enhance his experience, knowledge and skill with the other colleagues. It is inclusive of
providing training and advising staff and build their confidence and skills. Thus, best
mentoring aids to enhance the learning of the individuals and this helps them to be more
effective and confident.

Proposed plan to evaluate how employee motivation can be improved.
Employee motivation can be defined as developing the energy, commitment and
creativity that firms workers bring to their job. Motivated employee sat the workplace can leads
to enhance the productivity and can also allow the organisation to accomplish the higher levers
of output ( Linden, 2019). In order to enhance the team building strategies this is crucial to
motivates team members to take specific actions.
Every enterprise and business needs to be successful and have desire to get the constant
progress. Additionally, the current era of the entity is highly competitive and this is regardless of
size, technology and market focus. Thus, employee motivation is defined as to take the measures
to set the policies to managers that can helps to enhance effectual job management among the
employees within the enterprise. Encouraged workforce conduct their work practices effectively
and this leads to have lower level of absenteeism and support to improve the industrial

faced by the enterprise these days. Thus, working of the enterprise can get hampered if the
uncertainties in working condition took place.
The effectiveness of communication greatly contributes the success within the enterprise.
It is crucial to deal and cope up with communication barriers so this things needs to be ensure
that smooth and effective communication facilitates the better working conditions. On the basis
of above report, the recommendation will be given to to resolve the issues within the workplace.
Henceforth, these are defined in following manner as are-
Embrace conflicts- If managers, employers and any specified authorities notices the conflict
within organisation then they needs to take the steps to go to root and to find out the effective
solution to the issue. If the conflicts arise within the enterprise between two employees that this
is crucial to find out the effective way to bring improvement in interdepartmental communication
(He, Yuan and Yang, 2019). Deal with this kind of conflict helps to facilitates the better working
conditions. The conflicts within the organisation can be occurred due to many reasons such as
poor management, unfair treatment, unclear job roles and lack of equal opportunities etc. This

Listen to everyone involved and hear their views- Managers and employees of the
organisation needs to listen the each complaint of their employees. By listening their view on the
works related issues helps to bring out the positive workforce. This kind of the things will be
helpful to conduct better activities as this motivates the employees to perform their best. At the
time of taking the decision, the managers must include employees and employers so that they can
feel their worth. It leads to bring effective atmosphere at the workplace.
Transparent communication- In order to sort out the issues in the workplace, this is crucial to

issues as this encourages employees to be open about the achievements and mistakes and this
creates most positive working environment. It is responsibility of the manger is to communicate
each decision to employees and take initiative to properly coordinated so that better and positive
outcomes can be generated. This kind of action helps to motivates the workers and this leads to
perform their best.
Improvement in Culture barriers- Culture barriers can also impacts the working condition in
negative aspects. It is defined as cross cultural communication that impacts the working
conditions of the enterprise. It is defined as set values, practices and traditions and discrimination
can also be found on the ground as sex, age, race and religion. This affects the working of the
enterprise in the huge aspect. In order to overcome the culture barrier the enterprise needs to
undertake the training of employees so this can help to facilitate better working conditions. By
introducing employees with one another helps to carry out the effective course of actions.
Set standards and provides skills development- By setting the standards and to ensure about
the continue competencies within the organisation plays crucial role facilitate effective working
conditions. This is defined as ongoing process and also continues throughout the professional
career. Thus, organisation must aims to empower the individual learning with help of skills,
knowledge, qualification by providing the training so that core skill of an individual can be
developed. The managers needs to set the standards in which they are needed to undergo to
perform better results.

Monitor and evaluate the progress of project.
Monitoring is defined as the process that provides the information and ensures the use of
such information that reviewed by the management in order to access the effects of the projects.
This is helps to define the programmes that is on track and this also helps to defined the changes
that needed to be done. Monitoring is views as process that provides information and ensures the
use of such by information by the management to access the effects of projects (LLANES,
ROCHA and CELI, 2018 Omar, 2018). Thus, controlling actions must be taken in terms to
determine the effective measurements that brings the successful outcome to results. Henceforth,
this defined as conceptual framework that may be used in terms to design the project effectively.

In this report, the monitoring action plan has been framed out and success of this plan can be
measured out with the help of conducting the survey of employees.
It is the responsibility of the manager to undertake the course of actions that helps to
determine the success of the project. Accurate and effective monitoring assist to timeline and
identify the issues to ensure the success of the project. It is one of effective way that aids to
undertake monitoring and controlling process that oversees the overall task and define the gap in
which effective steps are needed to be taken. Additionally, project needs to be monitored on the
following aspects as are-

Work based learning defined as one of the crucial aspect that leads to undertake the
effective course of actions. It is defined as strategy that helps he individual to enhance his
personal and professional competencies. In this report, I have identified that in order to develop
the competencies of the individual this is very significant to enhance their learning and
development needs so that future course of action can be accomplished.
In this report, one task has been mention about the staff underperforming and poor
communication and this was affecting due to the issues as compromise on quality, high
employee turnover and retention of loyal customer from the enterprise. This also has been
evaluated that skills such as communication, active listening, coordination, conflict resolution
plays the crucial role in order to bring out the better course of action. It is thing that facilitate the
effective working conditions and also help to bring out the desired outcomes.
In this report, I have framed the motivation action plan so that performance of the staff
can be improved and skills of employees can be enhanced to produce the better and productive

outcomes. I cam to knowe that work based learning is one of the effective framework that helps
to facilitate the dual learning and also helps to frame independent work based learning. The main
aim of this programme is to strengthen the competences and their main focus is needs to be on
developing the employability skills.
Hence, it can be stated that staff manual, interviewing the senior staff, by undertaking the
survey of the customers and seeking the feedback from the superior authorities can be effective
measure to undertake the better course of action at the workplace and this can leads to
accomplish the positive environment.
CONCLUSION
Henceforth, it can be stated that work-based learning put their major focus on the core
aspects as internship, mentoring and apprenticeship. This is defined as strategy that put real life
experience of the individual at the workplace. The present report is based on the business
activities of the work based learning of the individual in terms to develop personal and
professional competencies within an individual.
Furthermore, report has covered the varied things as to undertaken identification on
personal and professional learning and development needs for proposed future career role,
recommendation has been given in terms to resolve the issues at the workplace. Moreover,
assignment has also laid emphasise on monitor and evaluation on the progress of the overall
outcomes of the project. Lastly, study has showed reflection on the above mentioned task and
working experience.
