INTRODUCTION
Skills development is an important attribute in order to achieve professional and personal
development growth objectives. Acquiring of skill and knowledge is important for an individual
to for developing competencies and business growth. This report covers the skills and
competencies required for a front office manager. In the context of Hilton Worldwide which is
an American multinational company rendering services in the hospitality sectors. It is founded by
Conrad Hilton in the year 1919, headquartered in Tyson Corners, Virginia, U.S. It is global
leader in hospitality sectors operating in different countries. It includes rendering hotel room
services, food facilities and improving customer experiences. This report covers required by the
front line manager in order to manage the job, reflection of learnings of skills and knowledge for
the job role of front line manager. (Biasutti and EL-Deghaidy, 2015).
MAIN BODY
1. Determine different skills audit and personal development plan required by front office
manager
Skill audit is defined by the systematic assessment of different skill set of an individual.
Skill audit plan determine the competencies needed for job role. Skill audit helps to determine
the skills actually needed to complete any specific job requirements (Cathro, O’Kane and
Gilbertson, 2017).

outcome shows the shortcomings in the skills acquired by an individual. According to the rating
by others inter personnel skills should be worked on where team building and communication
skill are the other two skills that has to worked upon.
The strengths and weakness for the position of front office manager is stated below:
Strengths:
As front office manager in Hilton
worldwide, I have good budgetary skill
in order render salaries to employees
for different roles performed by them
and financing different organisational
activities for smooth functioning of the
business.
I have good problem solving skill
which helps me solves all the
challenges of both internal and external
business environments which helps me
to the strategic business decisions.
Communication is an important aspect
which helps to communicate to the
employees about organisational
objectives (Changwong, Sukkamart,
and Sisan, 2018).
Weaknesses:
leadership skill should be
systematically strengthened so that
employees are rendered a particular
direction for working in an
organisation.
I need to work upon team building skill
to delegate my work to the subordinates
and divide the team in accordance to
the particular skills acquired by the
individuals (Chapman, Miles and
Maurer, 2017).
Inter personnel skills are defined by the
skill set of an individual which is
needed for delivering views and
opinions to the employees, it helps to
build employee engagement in the
organisation, I need to work on inter
personnel skills to develop an ethical
relationship with employees in the
workplace.
