INTRODUCTION
Work based learning is a strategy that is used in education to provide real life experiences
to students so that they can apply their academic as well as technical knowledge to be
employable. It is based on providing practical exposure to students while studying (Edwards,
2016). For this, universities or school integrated their curriculum with work place in order to
enhance employability skills of students. In the present report, Ritz London is considered that is
a luxury five star hotel of UK. It provides accommodation facilities as well as room services,
WI- Fi facilities and more services to guest. It was founded in the year of 1906 and owns three
restaurants within country. The report comprises broad discussion regarding skills audit and
personal development plan. It also includes a short report reflecting the progress of individual in
terms of undertaking different job roles & responsibilities in an appropriate manner. Discussion
has been included regarding several skills required to perform work role along with the
appropriate plan for future career enhancement.
Main Body
Develop skills audit along with personal development plan
Personal skill audit is related to identification of personal competencies, knowledge and
expertise so that individual will be able to know their own performance. Main aim of this, it is to
identify areas of improvement and undertake necessary training & development sessions
accordingly (Chen and Chiu, 2016). It provides detail overview that what skills are currently
presented in an individual and what is their level of competency in those skills. In addition, it
also helps to develop appropriate competencies to attain predefined goals and find the gap. With
this, one can undertake necessary actions to fill the gap and develop necessary skills for
accomplishing predefined objectives. I have taken personal skill audit in order to analyze my
current level of potential that will help me to further improve performance to undertake different
job roles in an efficient manner. For this purpose, personal skill audit is given as under:

Through above personal skill audit, it is monitored that there are a lot of gaps which need to
improve by me in order to perform assigned job roles & responsibilities within Ritz London in an
efficient manner. With this, I have analyzed my own internal skills as well as competency by
applying SWOT framework which is given as under:
