INTRODUCTION Critical evaluation of a model i.e. Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) is going to be presented in this individual report. Along with this, report has also showed the overall learning which was being gained by the implementation of model in case of Sainsbury's. MAIN BODY The model that has been considered in present report i.e. WBS, which I think can be taken as an effective model that consists with different stages and these are: Project initiation and planning,Project implementation, and Project monitoring and Project evaluation and closing. These are the different stages that WBS has considered by Sainsbury's and from this, what I have learnt is that, every single stage plays a crucial role when a business organisation is looking forward to expand its business at international level. First stage is where, points likeIdentifying new opportunities, Identify requirements, Research and Management meeting are the one that might help firm in looking into the countries or areas that are beneficial for the company for business expansion. I have learnt from these sections is that identifying a particular opportunity might aidSainsbury'sin meeting the new goals and i.e. business expansion. On the other side, I have identified that management meeting could helpSainsbury'sin reducing all the risk numbers and it might also help firm in reaching to new heights as well. Away with this, I also analysed that research might aid project manager in hitting all the targets that might aid firm in meeting its final or desired goal. What I have learnt from project implementation stage it is very critical phase and manager need to analyse how effectively the blue print can be designed for developing a project, because pre plan is mandatory for allocating and efficiently utilising each resource so that business could have huge growth target market. I also learnt that it is necessary that there should be a separate warehouse for storing quality raw materials for utilising them, when the work actually implemented. My learning from deep analysis was with use of new technologies will reduce time as well as cost of the organisations. As time and considered to be prime factor while implementing the project. Also the training session should be given to each workforce, so that they can work effectively as a unit. The use of work break down structure model is very helpful in dividing the huge work in small section to skilled labours, so that work can be completed on time. I also learnt that some wrong decision taken by supervisor resulted in increment of conflicts between workforces. These conflicts arose due to lack of communication from line 1
manager to workforce. Thereafter I saw that line manager where least interested in explaining the work accurately to labour. Also, they have not done the market research appropriately and chosen wrong machineries for starting a new project. This have huge impact on business activities that was about to get started by labours. While purchasing new machineries have imbalance the financial budget that was estimated by project managers. A work breaks down structure provide structure of a project where large part of project is been taken down into simpler form. Most of the company use these kinds of structure to make effective work and result should deliver as per the client as asked for. In other words, it is process of simplifying large junk of data into simpler form where employees and project manager can understand the project and make effective output. Its breakdown the large data into meaningful components and it also provide insight for basic information of such as project planning, performance easement and ease for project control. It also provides common platform for every individual working on same project. In the case of Sainsbury, I have analyses that WBS model be useful for carrying out any large project. Because it provides detail information about the project which client has asked for. WBS helps in providing new ways and various opportunities available to complete the task as per the requirement of market. A devilries WBS help in decompose the large amount into smaller form and they are tangible and must need to complicate as per the requirement. I have seen that WBS methodology will tend to increase efficiency in work and if project sponsor decides to use this method it will provide multiple developers as per the choice. For Sainsbury it provides flexibility and various aspects in which they can perform their project activity in pre deicide order. Sainsbury must follow various aspect of WBS to reduce the cost if project because it may cost the company. Sainsbury can use work break down structure according the requirement of clients. If it seems for company the project is large, and company can quickly calculate the budget for whole department and if budget match the requirement of organization then further steps is been taken into consideration. As the project moves further, Sainsbury team can track every department and each specific section of work break down structure to figure out the cost if project and problems occurring in company. I have seen that Sainsbury is using proper research before choosing the best option for the company. Proper research should be taken to reduce the future theft and loss because business very uncertain and loss of complication are present before company. 2

I have evaluated that work breakdown structure act as a one of the most important tool which can be undertaken by a company in different formats that include tree format, outline structure, hierarchical structure and tabular structure. Further work breakdown structure can be segregated into following parts that include task, scheduled, scope, function and responsibilities. I have further analysed that Sainsbury project managers effectively take advantage of this breakdown method in order to boost productivity within workplace. As with the help of this structure project manager within Sainsbury set right people at right number on the require job. In addition with this it has been analysed by me that work breakdown structure will effectively provide and boost transparency and accountability this helps in effective communication and sharing of good ideas. I have further evaluated that the structure effectively boost harmony and Unity among workers. It has been seen by me that work breakdown structure is the best method to allocate cost and time estimates with the help of which schedule task are completed in a perfect time frame. In addition with this, it lead towards boosting better team moral with the help of which company can further track their expenses as well as cost. In addition with this I have 3
seen that with the assistance of WBS model Sainsbury effectively solve problems and concern issuesinaquickmannerandaddressthembeforethattendtowardsbecomingregular procrastinatingwithin the project. Thus, with the above mentioned in analysis it has been analysed by me that Sainsbury with the help of WBS structure can boost progress and monitor their daily basis operations while tracking unnecessary cost. With the help of this company can even break Complex projects into different statements and conferred more effective outcome in a confident manner. This can further lead company to kick off project in a more defined and comprehensive manner with the help of which company can gain more accurate results by completing milestones. Thus, it has been observed and evaluate by me that with the assistance of WBS method project management as well as project team members within Sainsbury can effectively able to develop their formative skills with the help of which they can significantly increased organisation profitability and can accomplish plan project in a successful manner by fulfilling need of customer in more effective way. CONCLUSION As per the above mentioned report it has been concluded that. WBS structure act as an one of the most essential tool with the help of which large scale organisation can effectively able to accomplish the project with a specified period of time by fulfilling every require needs in best effective manner.
