INTRODUCTION
Innovation is very much necessary for nay business. An organisation if they want to get
success and growth they need to have adopted the concept for innovation. Innovation is not only
concern with the product or production innovation, it is also related to bring the innovation into
the workforce and the team management. This report considers the various factors and
characteristics for innovative companies and the internal and external factor which is pushing the
companies to be proactive instead of reactive. Apart from this the report also includes the terms
like team characteristics, the role of group dynamics and diversity and the broader environmental
factors.

Characteristics of innovative companies
The big and successful companies like google and facebook has the following
characteristics in terms of their innovations:
Unique and relevant strategy: The has been very much clear that the big companies like google
and facebook makes the strategies which is very unique because they have a clear mission and
vision about their company and follows all the strategies restlessly so that they can achieve that
mission which they have decided for themselves. Their way of communication with the audience
is so clear that it transparently shows their true purpose and objectives which they carries.
Innovation is a medium: For innovative companies, the innovation is a medium or means to
achieve their targets or goal (Aalbers, Dolfsma and Leenders, 2016). They all know that it has
become very much mandatory for them to be innovative and creative into their workings because
it is the only way to get survives and growth into this market. Bringing innovation into their
system and structures would help them in attaining the goals and objectives which they have
decided for themselves.
Environment of trust: These companies clearly know that innovation or any new creation has its
risks with it and it also have huge changes for getting a failure. These companies build a trust
among the employees and the customers, when they bring innovation or any new features into
their system. This creates an atmosphere of trust among the employees and they get ready to
contribute their best into their work, also they have their each other back.
The internal and external factors which drives the team to be proactive
The internal factors are the factors which perform into an organisation and the
organisation has the full control over that. Some of these internal factors are:
Leadership styles: The kind of leadership style the team leader has into the group puts a lot of
affect into the group behavior. If the group leader is very active and jolly then its team members
will also be very much energetic and active. This would lead a team to be proactive as they are
