Introduction
The world of work is made up of things such as occupation, jobs, employers, employees,
promotions, motivations and many others. These are the several things with different labels just
like workers and organisations. It influences the power of work which can be in the life of an
individual. Everyone survives by working or because of someone else working (Al-Tkhayneh,
Kot and Shestak, 2019). This report discusses why people work and the different motivating
factors which are used in order to influence them to continue with their respective jobs. Further,
the positive and negative factors are discussed which result from the person's job role and their
impact that they have on both mental and physical aspects.

Motivation
It is the process which initiates guides in maintaining goal oriented behavior within the
organisation. It includes the biological, emotional, social and cognitive forces which help in
activating the behavior. It gives motivation for why a person does something. It also includes
those factors which direct and maintain such goods directed actions, which often have to be the
reasons why such people do the things.
Types of motivation
 Extrinsic motivation: these are those motivations that arise from out of the individual and
often involve rewards such as trophies, money, social recognition and other things for
appraisal.
 Intrinsic motivation: these are such motivations which arise from within the individual
such as doing some complicated crossword puzzles in order to get personal gratification
of solving such problems (Baloch and Siddiqui, 2020). These motivations are required to
reach at the top as the need of such motivation is helpful in order to begin with the
psychological needs and progress through safety so that they can attend the self
actualization.
