INTRODUCTION
It is necessary to understand by individual person perform their work within business
organisation, working can provide independence or control over life. When the individual person
performs their work, they learnt innovative things, getting more competence, making friends and
provide contribution towards community. In this report, the organisation is taken named as
Tesco. It is largest supermarket chain providing different kind of goods and services to its user
for satisfying their need. In this assignment, there is a discussion regarding motivation and
different factor that help in influencing subordinates and also provide discussion regarding
positive and negative experience of subordinate in their job and strategy to deal with such kind of
negative factor that is experienced by employees is discussed in this assignment (Day, 2017).
MAIN BODY
Motivation
Motivation is determined as a procedure which initiates, provide guidance and manage
goal-oriented attitude or behaviour. Motivation includes emotional, social as well as cognitive
forces which activate behaviour. Thus, motivation is adopted to motivate subordinate of business
organisation so that they perform their work in proper manner. And in other words, motivation is
significant factor that encourage individual person to provide superior performance and assist in
reaching towards goal of organisation. A superior stable motivation help in enhancing output of
subordinate but negative motivation reduced their performance level that impose negative effect
on success of organisation. The chosen organisation focuses on motivating subordinate in order
to retain them for a longer period of time. Motivation is determined as a term that assists in
defining how leader motivate subordinate so that they perform their work in an appropriate
manner. The theory of motivation assists in boosting performance level of subordinate during the
particular phase of time period.
Maslow hierarchy motivation theory
Herein, the Maslow hierarchy motivation theory is adopted. This theory was given by
Abraham Maslow in which they assess specific requirement of individual person at several
points. It aids assistance to Tesco to understand positivity of requirement and focuses on
influencing them for performs their work in proper manner. It involves five elements that are
given below:
