Wow.lk is among the widely used website in Sri Lanka, run by digital Commerce Lanka
(Pvt) Ltd. The site is among the first websites in the country offering a vast range of deals,
genuine products with warranty, several payments options as well as island-wide delivery,
aiming to provide its customers the complete shopping experience.
The company which was founded in 2011 has grown into the top e-commerce company
operating in Sri Lanka, serving both local and international consumers. The company aims to
provide unique e-commerce involvement for both consumers and merchants over various
services and products.
The website offers different services, including; wow deals, which is a segment that
offers consumers a varied collection of deals with discounts close to 70% off. These deals are
uploaded every day to give consumers a more extensive range of merchandise to select from as
well as a combination of significant savings. Wow, deals cover most things from services and
products to events and travels. The website also has a wow mall, which is an online mega mall
with a catalogue of more than 3,500 products from more than 100 recognized sellers (wOw.lk.,
2019). Wow, mall enables buyers to order from a vast collection of big brands and unique
merchandise from local and international sellers, with island-wide delivery and warranty. The
mall allows various secure payment techniques including pay on delivery, cash, credit card
transactions, as well as direct operator billing.
While listing items, Wow ensures details of the pricing information are accurate, and all
the information required is included. Wow places the actual price of the item under its
description, which includes the cost before and after the discount has been applied (Abeykoon,
