This report is based on the teenagers who consumes lot of drugs due to above mentioned reasons and the main motive of that report is to investigate causes and impacts of that evil on an individual. With by using both psychological and sociological theory related with abusiveness of drugs so that better results should be occurred. In that report social issue is teenagers drug addiction that are major evil in front of society. MAIN BODY This report is based on the drug addiction of teenagers that is one of the most fierce evil in today's world. The teenage are majorly a period of taking experiments, regardless of parenting skills and abilities and influence on an individual (Camacho and et.al ., 2013). Cannabis is commonly used drugs in among the teenagers, in that age majorly parents always remain worry for their children's about their dependence on drugs such as speed and ice, ecstasy, heroin and cocaine. The most hazardous effects on teenagers healthis the very much use of drugs such as alcohol and tobacco. To remove or evaluate these kinds of social evils there are various kinds of theories and practices proved useful for them both psychological and sociological theories that are as follows: Section 1 That section of that report is based on the study with help of psychological theory to find out major deliverables regarding drugs abusiveness of teenagers. To find out roots of that concern by using psychology theories that provide the model to understand the human thoughts, emotions and behaviour of an individual (Chesang, 2013). To understand the behaviour of an individual Cognitive theory of behaviour plays very much important role that are as follows: Cognitive development theory suggest about the growth of a children that move through various stages by mental development. By observing the children's piget build a four stage theory that are 2
Sensorimotor stage: That is the stage of birth to 2 years and the major characteristics and development changes by their movement and sensations (Kuntsche and MĂĽller, 2012.). It knows about world with help of basic actions such as sucking, grasping and listening. The pre-operational stage : In that stage majorly 2 to7 year children's comes under it and in that stage children's think symbolically and learn from the words and pictures with various objects. They in that stage become egocentric and struggle to see things from perspective of others. Concrete operational stage: In that stage 7 to 11 years children's comes under it and starts thinking logically about various events. They start to understand the concept of their conversation. Each stage of age gives some insights of human nature to understand action of an individual so that their activities should be controlled in proper way. The formal operational stage: In that stage 12 and up from it comes under it and in particular stage adolescence or young adults starts to think in abstract manner due to hypothetical problems. In that stage teens begins to focus on moral, philosophical, ethical and social issues which requires abstract reasoning (Kaminer,2013.). In that stage people become capable to see multiple solution of a problem and think in scientific manner about the world around them. So by that theory of psychology it can be understand that in formal operational stage an individual can be able to think with logic and see solutions at multiple level so in that stage people can get good habits or bad habits so parents have to pay their attention on their each and every activity so that they can mould their behaviour. So all these aspects are very much important for an individual to get important insights and knowledge to reach at desirable goals and objectives. Section 2: Alcoholic addiction of drugs that is one of major evil in front of society to remove it and lessen down it effects researcher with help of sociological theory includes disengagement theory. Disengagement theory: Disengagement theory states about non attachment with social life as people become aged and elderly. When they disengage from society they attract towards other activities such as addiction of drugs, crimes and misbehaviour. This theory states about that as time passes people 3
especially elderly withdraw or disengage themselves from social life and their roles and responsibilities that is the central of adulthood life. When a n individual disengage themselves from social norms and environment they increasingly freed from social norms. A complete disengagement occurs in case both individual and society when two individuals one is ready but other is not. Section 3: That section demonstrates about behaviour of an individual in different age period that directly impacts on their actions to get right kinds of outputs. There are various kind of theories and practices regarding the sociological and psychological theory to understand the human behaviour in better way (Lac and Donaldson, 2016.). The similarity in both cognitive theory of psychological and Disengagement theory of sociological to get right kinds of outputs in order to achieve researcher goals and objectives. The major similarity in both these theories that they both are incorporated with motive of understanding the behaviour of an individual as per the age in which belongs at present. The another major similarity that both study on mental level of an individual at every stage of life and bring harmony in it. Section 4: This section of particular report demonstrates about the differences in various models and theoriesthathelpsinunderstandthebehaviourofanindividual.Theboththeories Disengagement theory and cognitive theory have some kind of differences that are one study on psychological aspect and other on sociological aspect of an individual (Voogtand et.al ., 2013. ). Psychology involves the study of human mind in regards to individual and small group rather than the whole society. Psychology theory only study behaviour of an individual at one time by crafting principals that helps in understanding mental health trends their behaviour and problems. On other hand sociology theory includes disengagement theory evaluates about individual by examining with social association. In it factors connected that are how gender, religion and appearance plays major role in overall culture.
