My team was a strategicproject risk and agile management team that focuses on risk management and agile in
the project. The team analyses the important aspect of the strategic management process that can be used to
manage various types of risks. Various theories of risk management and agile were investigated as core project
management aspects.
My role in the team was to coordinate risk management and agile research in the course of the project. I was
leading the team that was investigating the project risk management that is important for ensuring there is
minimal project deviation from set goals.

Risk management and agile are the two most important project management elements that increase my
understanding of contemporary issues in project management.
The project plays an important role in understanding the business projects and the importance of managing risk
within the project. The aim of the project is to analyze various risk management theories that improve my project
management experience. In addition, the project serves to improve my project management processes using the
agile approach. The agile project management better learning of project management of the complex system
through dividing those systems into smaller components. I have therefore learned how to manage various risks

Team leadership risk was encountered during the project to maintain perfect coordination of the team was
difficult. The team leadership an important risk as this form the ability of the team to remain focus on the project
that is being undertaken. There are was improper team leadership as some members of the team did not fully
realize their potential. In addition, team leadership especially in a dynamic team is difficult and require more high
professionalism. Reducing the project risk within the leadership context is another team leadership problem as
we had to ensure there is no negative deviation from the set goals (Kor & Mesko 2013).

What insights will
Team participation worked well during the semester as this contributed to the result that we obtained from the
project. Division of role between our team members was key for successful participation in the project. In
addition, each member participation especially being interdependence is highly effective. In the future, there is a
need to increase team role that ensures each member of the team understand the part of the project that they
undertake as this will improve performance. Therefore, team leadership for common fate should ensure that

The team dynamic characteristic that highly impacted our team performance was a common goal and
interdependence characteristics. Firstly, our team was connected to a common destiny and this was to deliver
the best project result as required. Secondly, each member of our team was complementary to the other as this
was to ensure that all members contribute to the overall outcome of the project. The management of the team
dynamic especially on the participation was ensured through the division of task to each team member.
Discussion of the member contribution was to ensure that each person has done the right things as required
(Hsiu-Jung & Ming-Chi 2010).

There are some aspects of the team that did not work well and others that critically worked well for the result.
1. Team size worked well
Firstly, team size worked well to ensure that the results are delivered as required. The size of the team is
important when dividing a team role for members of the team.
2. Team knowledge, skills, and abilities did not work well
Team composition especially based on knowledge and ability did not work well as members of the team were of
similar ability and this did not consider diversity. A good team should consist of people with an array of
knowledge and abilities (Bell & Kozlowski 2011).
