INTRODUCTION
Academic writing refers to the formal style that has been used in the scholar publications
and universities to prepare journals, articles and books that are related to the academic topic
(Asaad, and Shabdin, 2021). Academic writing is generally used in articles and report and are
basically descriptive in nature that are the result of experiments and summarising of facts. This
essay is going to explain the meaning and features of academic writing that are very important in
the academic writing with reasons. Further, this report also contains the personal experience
about leaning and improvement in academic writing with the help of the course.

the readers believe that the theories that are used in the research are correct in nature. There are
so many features of an academic writing that are essential to be present in a report to make it
feasible for study in academic writing (Farid, and Asmawi, 2019). The first feature of an
academic report is that it should be formally written. As it has been provided in the definition of
the academic writing that it is a formal style writing this feature is very essential for an academic
report. It is because a formal writing helps to show a respect to the audience and readers which is
very essential in academic writing (Cotos, 2021). Apart from this, this feature also helps the
work to be free from ambiguity and misinterpretation. Another feature for an academic report
writing is that it should be precise in nature. The precise feature of the academic writing helps
the work to be clear in nature with the use of precise language. This is because it helps the reader
to understand the work in clear manner and follow the arguments and methodology under the
research and findings in effective manner (Shrestha, 2020). The precise nature of the report also
helps to convey the meaning of technical and non technical words that are used in the work in
precise nature.

structured which helps me in linking the work with proper opinions and use of other work to
provide opinion on the same. In order to get good grades in my course I have required to present
my writings in an analytical manner with involving critical thinking in the same (Robotova,
2018). It helps me to improve my analytical skills that are essential to became an academic
writer. With the help of the course I have learned to use the resources as an evidence in the study
and also learn to use the analytical skills in my writings. The project provided by my teachers
helps me to make the submission in form of reports that are required to be completed containing
the features of academic writing. Completion of these projects for better grades in the course has
helped me in to improve my skills that are required in academic writing. An approach of taking
feedbacks from the teachers before submission has been used in my course which helps me to
identify the mistakes I have made in my writing. These feedbacks has helped me to enhance my
abilities for providing best of my knowledge in my reports. I am able to know the mistakes that
has been made in the report which helps me to enhance and improve my academic writing skills
and abilities.
