INTRODUCTION
Aesthetic is broad and common term used for specialities related to the appearance of person
(Mohammadi Fesharaki and Radmehr, 2020). Aesthetic is a care that is being provided to
improve cosmetic appearance via the treatment of different skin conditions such as: skin laxity,
scars, excess fat, moles, wrinkles and others. In this study, I am going to share my feelings and
experience of studying this course and ways in which it helped me out in changing my
perception and behaviour towards aesthetic care as well as skin routine. Further, I will share my
professional experience in this care and new things that I learned by studying this course.
MAIN BODY
Reasons and motivation to study this program
Before discussing reasons and motivation that push me for attending this program, I want
to share some details about this care. In this regard, I can say that people know this care as a
cosmetic treatment in which non-surgical procedures are being designed to combat signs of
ageing as well as refreshing skin (Cutting, 2020). This treatment can be used on any part of the
body but some common areas include: neck, face and décolletage. It changes appearance of
person.
There are number of reasons as people want to do this course and I want to share my
personal reasons. One of the main reason of attending this course or program is: career
development. Nowadays, people are becoming health and skin conscious and everyone want to
look good. I believe that when we look good and have young skin then it boosts our confidence
and helps us out in performing other tasks with effectiveness. People with refreshing and young
skin have positive personality. There is an increased demand for this treatment and in the future
it is going to rise. So, for developing career in this demanding field was one of the main reason
and motivation of studying this program and completing this course. Treatment prices are also
affordable and results are dramatic.
When we help people in looking young and best then it makes us feel valued. I have keen
interest in this field and I wanted to boost confidence of people. Accordingly, it was the best and
suitable course for me. So, it was other main reason that push me for studying this course and
program (Hwang, Eftekhari, Schwarcz and Massry, 2019). I feel that this decision was right
decision as I can become witness of overall transformation ort people from beginning to end.

Professional and ethical aspects of professional and care provision
Being professional and ethical is an important aspect in aesthetic care as it can protect
aesthetics from lawsuit and can make us able in getting positive outcomes. in regard to aesthetic
ethics, I can say that it is an idea that human behaviour and conduct ought to be governed by that
which is attractive as well as beautiful. Professional ethics are a set of values that every
aesthetics need to follow for making people feel valued and make them believe that this
treatment will have positive impact and change their appearance in a positive and effective
manner. Some professional ethics that we all aesthetics need to consider while providing
treatment as well as improving our performance include: integrity, kindness, compassion,
responsibility, tact and follow through.
In addition, I can say that people who are going to take this aesthetic and cosmetic
treatment have fear as what will happen. They have fear about negative outcomes and what will
happen if this treatment fails (Naaz, 2020). So, at that time as an aesthetic care provider, we need
to become empathic by which we can understand feelings of people and can make them feel
valued. We need to lead positive attitude among people and for that, we need to follow all above
discussed ethics such as: kindness, responsibility and compassion. By doing so, we can increase
trust of people and engagement level.
In addition, I found that aesthetic medicine has yet to be given recognition as a medical
specialism and this may have affected ethical behaviour. Accordingly, it has become important
for aesthetic care providers to protect themselves and people from failure to provide medical
aesthetic care. Some principles of professional ethics in this care about which I have learned
include:
Autonomy: As per this principle, as an aesthetic care provider, we need to respect the
decision making capacities of autonomous patients and enabling them to make reasoned
informed choices.
Beneficence: As per this principle, we need to make a balance benefits of treatment
against cost and risks. Making patients beneficial and satisfied is a core aim of this treatment
(Molterer, Hoyer and Steyaert, 2020).
Non-maleficence: Aesthetic care providers must use such techniques that cannot consist
minimal harm. Harm should not be disproportional to benefits of treatment.

Justice: Fairness and equality are all about justice. Care providers must provide accurate
and reliable information to patients so that can take better decision.
So, on the basis of above discussed ethics, I can say that by considering these, we can
boost confidence of patients and can increase trust as well.
Thoughts and feelings regarding working with allied healthcare team members
Before sharing my experience and feelings, I want to discuss importance of allied
healthcare team. In regard to this, I can say that allied health professionals plan an important role
in providing therapeutic, diagnostic as well as technical health services in improving health and
well-being of people (Kumar and Rahman, 2021). Allied healthcare team in aesthetic care
include: medical sonographers, physical therapists, dietitians, dental hygienist, radiographers and
speech language pathologists.
All these professionals in allied team play a vital role in changing appearance of people. I
was given an inopportunity to work with them and at that time I came to know about importance
of working in a team. In regard to this, I can say that after providing aesthetic care and cosmetic
treatment, patients need to take extra care of their skin and for that they need to consult with
dietitians, dental hygienist, medical sonographers and all other professionals. When I worked
with them then I came to know that changing physical appearance is not an easy task as people
need to consider number of factors. After working with multidisciplinary team, I came to know
about importance of having a proper diet.
I helped patients in providing diet related information and by providing detailed
information to multidisciplinary team, I helped them out in taking better decisions.
Decrease medical errors: In addition, I can say that by working with allied health care
team, I prevented patients from medication errors and improving patients’ experience (Bissett,
2021). It decreases patients’ medical cost and make them feel valued when they get each and
every details by one professional.
Start treatment faster: Patients have to wait for longer hours for physicians while
physicians wait for other physicians. So, by working with allied team, I gathered some basic
knowledge about each of the professional and by providing required information to patients, I
saved their time.

Self-evaluation on performance in the clinical environment
While working in clinic, I learned number of new things. I came to know that there is huge
pressure on healthcare professionals in clinics and they are not relaxing right now due to
increasing demand for aesthetic and other care. I came to know that by providing the right
healing environment, we can improve patients’ outcomes and can decrease their stress level. An
environment where professionals have an ability to provide qualitative care with empathic
behaviour, are more likely to get positive health outcomes.
Working in clinics was not an easy tasks as different needs of people come there and
making them feel valued and stress free become the main responsibility of us. Making clinics
comfortable and good design is important as it can decrease patients’ hospital stay rate (Manahan
and et.al., 2021). So, I want to share my experience and own performance in clinical
environment. Initially, I had fear as I was not able to adapt this environment. Gradually, peer
support helped me out in performing my tasks as aesthetic care providers in an effective manner.
I found easier in providing treatment to patients as there were availability of all required
resources. I applied my skills and knowledge to patient care and it boosted my confidence. I
came to know that I can provide cosmetic and other care to patients independently by making use
of appropriate resources. In addition, I came to know that I am lacking behind in taking decision
while I was providing treatment in clinical environment. I became nervous in deciding which
strategy needs to be selected. Peers and specialists helped me out and increased my knowledge
regarding selection of treatment as per the needs of patients (Kumar, Parsa and Rahman, 2022).
Their support increased my knowledge and I provided qualitative aesthetic care services to
patients. I believe that by changing the way of using resources, healthcare facilities can offer
more benefits to patients. Overall, I can say that I applied skills and gained knowledge at clinical
environment and improved myself professionally.
Changing thoughts and attitudes regarding aesthetic care
This course changed my thoughts and perspectives for aesthetic care. Before studying this
course, I used to think that aesthetic care is being provided for changing physical appearance.
For making themselves beautiful and attractive, people go for this service. After studying this
course, I came to know that aesthetic care is not limited to change physical appearance and
looking attractive but it boosts confidence of people. It makes people feel valued as well as

satisfied. When people look beautiful and attractive then it increases their productivity (Japutra,
Molinillo and Wang, 2018). They carry a positive attitude and this positive attitude plays a vital
role in our personal as well as in our professional lives. So, on the basis of this, I can say
aesthetic care and cosmetic treatment is life changing care.
I have found two main qualities that are associated with this care such as: hedonic value
that refers to the diffuse sense of pleasure that one feels by looking at a beautiful object. Second
one is the profound experience that deals with the feeling of being deeply moved. in addition, I
can say that aesthetic concept refers to qualities that are perceivable. It changes individuals’
opinion, emotions and subtle perceptions of natural areas. Overall, I can say that this study
helped me out in knowing number of benefits of aesthetic care (Song, Tan, Edwards and
Richards, 2018). As I came to know that it helps us out in giving an opportunity to combine mind
and emotion, cognition and sensory experience. This knowledge can help me out in the future in
providing qualitative treatment to patients and making them feel valued.
Changing behaviour towards skin care routine by studying this program
I want to discuss about aesthetic care. In regard to this, I can say that aesthetic is important
for the human wellbeing. It makes us able in understanding effective ways of solving problems
of aesthetic such as: visual clutter, ugliness and others. After studying this course, I came to
know that looking young and good is essential for all of us. People often say they we need to
focus on being beautiful within or from inside. But physical outer appearance also plays a vital
role as people judge us by out external appearance. It is a human tendency and feeling to look
good because it boosts their confidence. So, after studying this course, I found that people invest
too much in aesthetic care only because of looking good and making themselves feel valued. By
working with multidisciplinary team, I found that after taking this care and treatment we all need
to take care of us (Hallberg and et.al., 2018). There are number of natural things that can help us
out in looking young, fit and beautiful. Hygiene, our personal habit are main keys of being young
and naturally smart. For protecting myself from these treatments, I decided to take care of my
skin for looking naturally beautiful.
This course changed my perception and my skin care routines as well. I found out some
reasons of acne, pigmentation, scars, dark circles and others. One of the main reasons of these
skin care problems is: hormonal changes. Other main reasons associated with these problems
include: poor hygiene, lack of exercise, dehydration, having junk food, lack of nutritional food in

body and others. So, after knowing these reasons, I decided to consider all of these so, I tried to
make myself hydrated, washing face before going outside and after coming home. It protects us
from black heads, dullness and white heads. Pollution is other main reason, so for this purpose, I
started using high SPF of sunscreen. I added some new things in my routine such as: having
nutritional values of food, 30 physical exercise, drinking 3ltre of water. I found that all these
things keep our skin healthy and glowing and also make use fresh as well as energetic. I also
believe that your professional should be reflected in yourself as if you are beautician then it is
important for you to look beautiful, refresh and young. So, as an aesthetic care, it was important
for me to look young, energetic and refreshed (Mihailov and Velkova, 2018).
Beliefs regarding general and specific clinical aesthetic
In general aesthetic, it can be said that it refers a way of changing outer appearance without
making use of complex medical treatment. Altering cosmetic appearance through temporary
methods like removing black heads, using creams for decreasing dark circles and scars are
considered as general aesthetic care (Black, 2018). In other words, it can be said that changing
cosmetic and physical appearance through non-surgical processes for temporary or few time,
known as general aesthetic care. Overall, it can be said that both of these care change physical
appearance and boost confidence of people.
Whereas, specific clinical aesthetic is the one in which specialists of aesthetic care providers
change cosmetic and physical appearance through medical treatment of condition. Those
treatments that can help out people in decreasing skin problems permanently such as: decreasing
scars, reducing excessive fat, removing unwanted hair, changing skin discoloration, moles and
wrinkles, are known as specific clinical aesthetic. It includes diverse application of
dermatological as well as surgical conditions (Jourdan and et.al., 2019). Brazil, Japan, US,
Mexico and South Korea are some countries that perform clinical aesthetic activities and help out
people in decreasing skin related problems.
CONCLUSION
It has been summarised from the above study that aesthetic care plays a vital role as it
changes physical and outer appearance of people and make them feel valued. In this study, I have
shared my feelings as an aesthetic care and skills that I learned by studying this course. I have
discussed some characteristics and benefits of studying this course. Further, I have shared my
