ASSESSMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES ANALYSIS OF APPROPRIATE HEALTH
AND SAFETY
Policies refers to the basic guidelines that needs to be followed by
every organisation to manage work in proper manner. They need
to be coordinate and cop up their work with working policies so
that effective results can be determined. So, administration needs
to define responsibilities and duties of all individuals so that work
can be performed in proper manner and effective services are
delivered to people. In Aldgate East Care Home, there are more
possibilities of fire incidents whereas information administered by
organisation to workforce are less appropriate in nature.
Appropriate training system is also not provided by HSC to their
staff members due to which incidents occurs. Its good example is
a case of 90 year old man who is died from injuries uninterrupted
in fall from hoist. Various systems, procedures and policies are
need to be communicated by organisation in this aspect. Some
legislations regarding health and safety are as follows:
First aid regulation act, 1981: This act states that, it is
necessary for every organisation
to provide first aid box at workplace so that if any incident
happens, people get aid immediately. It is essential for HSC to
provide training to workforce regarding first aid use. It is required
by Aldgate East Care Home to consider this so that accidents can
be handled and immediate actions are taken.
Health and safety act, 1974: According to this act, it is
mandatory for organisation to administer healthy and safe work
environment to employees so that they can work effectively. In
health and social care, it assists in providing hygienic and safe

patients. They require to work with coordination and cooperation
in order to provide quality services to patients. By proper training,
workforce of Aldgate East Care Home perform their duties in
proper way and eliminates the chances of incidents.
