money and time. In spite of having so many advantages, accounting software do have some
disadvantages. The main disadvantage of this software is the cost (Dimitriu & Matei, 2014). The
budget has to be extremely high for taking up this software.
The literature review covers a brief description of Amcor Limited. This review provides

This organization was found in the year 1986. Previously, it produced paperboard products and
pulp paper with flexible packaging and metal can. However, now it produces rigid and flexible

plastic packages. The main job of this organization is that it secures and protects medical,
pharmaceutical, personal care, beverages, food ("Amcor - Home", 2017). The headquarters of
this particular organization are in Switzerland, Zurich. However, it has a head office in Hawthorn
Victoria as per ASE or Australian Securities Exchange.
Organizational Structure of Amcor Limited
The organizational structure of any organization consists of the management and the
corporate structure of that organization (Abraham & Dao, 2017). It comprises of all the main
managing bodies of the organization. They are responsible for the overall growth and
development of the organization. Amcor Limited is a worldwide-recognized organization that is
based in Australia.

Amcor has several and various segments like the Amcor Flexibles, Amcor Rentsch and
Closures, Amcor Asia, Amcor PET Packaging, Amcor Australasia and Amcor Sunclipse (Ismail,
& King, 2014). These segments have various categories of packaging as mentioned in the figure.
Organizational Problems in Amcor Limited
Amcor Limited provide packaging to all types of food, beverages, medical,
pharmaceutical items (Gebhart, Glines & Foss Jr, 2013). In spite of being one of the best
packaging organizations, Amcor does face some of major organization problems in their
business. This is due to the inflexibility in the organizational structure. The structure is a good
structure; however, it is not feasible for long-term goals (Galliers & Leidner, 2014). Another
major problem in this organization is the price of the products. Since, this is a worldwide
recognized organization, the packaging cost is somewhat excess than any other packaging
company. Nowadays, many companies are emerging. Therefore, the customers are having a
doubt that whether they should continue with Amcor Limited or not. The third problem in this
organization is the lack of involvement of all workers. Some of the employees of the
organization are working perfectly whereas some of the employees are not working. The fourth
problem in this organization is the problem in the supply chain management and the customer
relationship management (Nguyen, Nguyen & Bosch, 2017). The packaging industry should
have perfect supply of raw materials, however, it is seen that the company does not have perfect
and sufficient supply of raw materials.
Strategies Undertaken by Amcor Limited
The main strategy that Amcor Limited has undertaken for their growth in the business is
the acquisition of the company Plastic Moulders Limited. The Toronto based organization has
excellent technical and technological capabilities (Pearlson, Saunders & Galletta, 2016). The

other specialization of Plastic Moulders Limited are the molding, designing, engineering and

organization are local. This reduces the complexities and cost of shipping. Moreover, if there is
any problem in the shipping of the raw materials, the local vendors can help to overcome the
loss.
System Acquisition Methods of Amcor Limited
Amcor Limited uses the elementary Enterprise Resource Planning or ERP as their system
software. The type of ERP software utilized by this organization is the Systems, Applications
and Products or SAP. The versions of SAP are SAP CRM 7.0, SAP ERP 6.0 and the SAP SCM
5.0. The main advantage of SAP is that it integrates very easily with all other functional modules
of the business. This decreases the complexities of the organization (Li et al., 2017). Another
advantage of SAP is that it is extremely cost effective and flexible. It even reduces the cost of
sales order processes. Amcor Limited has adopted SAP and this adoption has increased their
productivity. Even the revenue of the organization has increased after adoption of SAP.

sub divided into five segments. They are the customer, sales, contracts, legal and finally
fulfillment. At first, the customer submits the process order. Then the organizational
representative records the order and enters it in the logbook (Galliers & Leidner, 2014). Then the
representative contacts the agents and reviews the orders. He crosschecks if the client has placed
a perfect order or not. If the client satisfies all the conditions of placing order, he will approve the
order and thus the order will be processed. If the client does not fulfill all the conditions of

placing an order, the Amcor representative will cancel his order. Once the agent approves the
order, the item is shipped and finally the client receives the item.
Control Problems in the System
There are several problems in the Amcor Limited. The customers are losing their interest
in the organization (Gebhart, Glines & Foss Jr, 2013). This is mainly due to inflexibility in the
organizational structure. However, Amcor Limited has undertaken a brand new Enterprise
Resource Planning software for their business, supply chain management and customer
relationship management. This SAP software is helping them to increase their revenue and sales
in the organization.
Process Designing
The workers of Amcor Limited should work together as a team. This will increase the
productivity of the organization (Pearlson, Saunders & Galletta, 2016). Moreover, this will
consume less time for production of the products.
Supply Chain Management
This is major problem in Amcor Limited. The organization does not sufficient raw
materials to maintain the demands of the customers and thus there is a lack in the supply chain
management (Li et al., 2017). This can be managed by taking proper measures and it should be
corrected within time.
Customer Relationship Management
This is the second most important factor for any organization. The relationship with the

package. The Xero is a New Zealand based accounting software company that produces cloud-
based software for different organizations. The products are mostly based on Software as a
Service or SaaS model. The main advantage of this software is that it can support maximum
clients within less time (Dimitriu & Matei, 2014). The other advantage is that the collaboration is
much easier with this software.

Holdings The stock prices are extremely high for this particular organization and are leading the

Recommendations
The organization Amcor Limited is going through several threats and challenges in its
business. The recommendations are as follows:
i) The major problem in this organization is the inflexibility of the organizational
structure. It is recommended that they should make the organizational structure flexible so that it
becomes perfect for the long-term goals.
ii) The second problem is that the products are extremely costly. They should reduce the
price of their packaging so that smaller organizations are interested in them and can easily afford
them.
iii) The third problem is that there is a lack of involvement of all workers in the
organization. It is recommended that all the workers should get involved in the work so that the
productivity of the company gets higher and there is a collaboration within them.
iv) The fourth problem is the lack of supply chain management. It is recommended that
