Apology letter
To: Unit coordinator
Subject: Apology for academic misconduct
My name is John, it was discovered and identified that on 11th March 2022, I had plagiarism
and behaviour misconduct.
It was an act of behavioural as well as plagiarism misconduct. I wish I could claim this was
an error on my site and I knew that whatever I am doing it is not legal and ethical. I harassed
other students and asked him to provide his notes to me so that I can copy his content so, here I
did 2 misconducts such as: behavioural and plagiarism.
As per the domain 1 and domain 3 and act with professional integrity, this conduct does not
fit and students are highly prohibited to avoid plagiarism as well as harass others. Within code of
conduct for nurses, it is mentioned that we all need to focus on effective communication,
maintain confidentiality and act as a professional. So, as per the professional behaviour, we all
need to abide all rules, treat people in a fair manner and do not breach privacy and
confidentiality. I breached confidentiality as I used other’s content and did not avoid plagiarism
and for that, all I can do is apologize.
There are some practices for registered nurse and as a student, we all need to behave as per
the code of conduct. I wish to first apologise to those whose content I copied. I accept this that it
was wrong of me to use your work without your permission and by harassing you. Your efforts
and my behaviour deserve the recognition and I am sorry for my behaviour. I accept this also that
my behaviour towards you was very hurtful, seeing your work misused in such as way made me
feel regret and shameful.
I am sorry and wish to apologise to those to whom I lied and said that the work as well as
project that I completed was my own by knowing that it was not. You trusted me as a brilliant
and trustworthy student but I let you down and broke your trust. I truly understand that my bad
behaviour has disappointed you and caused you grief and for regaining your trust on me, I can do
only apologise. Along with this, I make you sure that I will not perform this behaviour again in
the future not here and not even at other place. I will abide all rules of professional code of
conduct.

I deeply regret my actions. I accept this from bottom of my heart that what I did was
completely wrong and against of professional code of conduct as well as an ethical behaviour
and there is no excuse for it.
I understand that there will be consequences for my actions but I sincerely hope that with
efforts and time, I can move past this offense and can regain your trust. I cannot repay but I wish
to make myself available to those whose content I copied and harassed.
Thank you very much for your precious time and consideration.
Sincerely,
John Brown
