Topic of research: “Implementing CSR activities within the organisation to meet
sustainable objectives”.
Background of the study: CSR is the most essential function for any type of organisation.
It supports the organization in attaining competitive advantages in the market by successfully
executing the CSR activities. It is adopted by the companies to sustain in the highly competitive
market. For that, it is necessary for the organisations to have understanding of CSR and its
significance. Additionally, it is expected that CSR activities are beneficial for the stakeholders
involved in the organisation and mainly for the employees of the firm (Caramela, 2016). The
present research is conducted for implementing the CSR activities of the selected SME
organisation named Black Lion Hotel for acknowledging the manner in which it tends to perform
its routine function and operations. As it is a hospitality sector it is required to match with the
regular changes occurring in the market so that it can meet the changing tastes and wants of
customers.
Aim: To critically assess the function of CSR activities for achieving the competitive benefits in
SME's – A Study on Black Lion Hotel. Thus the aim is to execute fund raising for clean water
and to develop water pumps in third world nations. The aim therefore is to provide clean running
water and assure that young children do not have to walk for miles for gathering water for their
family, rather that they will devote this time in their education and other developmental
activities. The final purpose is to raise funds for the development in third world nations.
Objectives:
 To research patrons regarding their viewpoints in this initiative and if they desire to or
not to pay some more.
 To undertake calculations for determining how much amount has been collected.
 To find out charity that the money raised will go to and than fulfil aims and objectives of
pub.
 To related with charity for receiving images and updates for how the money was taken in
use.

Interpretation: It has been observed from the above data in which the respondents were
questioned if they agree on the fact that implementation of CSR activities is a prime liability of
Black Lion Hotel. Out of seven respondents three of them strongly favour with this fact. Two
respondents also agree with this fact that but not strongly like those three respondents. One
respondent is neutral with this fact, while one of them disagrees with it. There is no such
respondent who strongly opposes this fact.
Theme 4 Security and safety of staff is the most significance problem faced by Black Lion
Hotel with the viewpoint of heavy number of respondents.
