1.0 Self-reflection on personal learning and development and the transferable
skills
1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal learning and development
Personal learning and development is a continuous process which is started since one's
childhood and continued till old or matured age. It is the learning of basic things and needs and
development of new skills and knowledge of a person. It allows to enhance personal qualities by
making aims and examining self capabilities. With the help of personal learning and
development, I will be able to learn new things and develop my knowledge, skills and
personality accordingly. It is necessary for me to grow professionally. It will provide me with the
better opportunity to get any job. I will eligible for promotions. I can develop myself by setting
career goals, asking your mentor, join training courses, read books of watch online videos and
practice regularly. Personal learning and development allows me to enhance my capabilities and
make improvements where needed. When I went through this module, I realised that how much
personal development and learning is important in various fields. I learned that how it is
important for an individual's progression and allows him to improve lifestyle, job position and
overall advancement in his career. Therefore I realised that it will direct me towards a bright
future. I paid my complete attention to each session so that I will be able to learn as much as
possible and make improvements in my skills(Allen, Palermo, Armstrong and Hay, 2019)
1.2 Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed by attending this module
Management and Leading Skills: It is not easy to develop your career in business and
management as the responsibilities of a business manager is to manage and lead the team
effectively. I realised that it is important to work in teams and manage it as if the team
will not work properly, there may be problem in achieving future goals. While attending
the sessions I developed the skills of management and leadership as participated in
various group activities and took the responsibility to lead the team, to guide and manage
the team properly(Caena, and Vuorikari, 2021).
Problem Solving Skills: As a business manager you have to work in teams, you have to
manage teams and being a team leader it's your responsibility to solve any problem in the
team. During the sessions, as I participated in group activities, I got to know that if you
are working in a team there will definitely some problems either it's related to poor

1.3 Skills I would like to develop during my academic studies, personal life and the workplace
Skill development is an essential thing for an individual. It helps in developing
professional life. It give you confidence and helps you in achieving goals. With sufficient skill in
any field you will work with motivation. I would like to develop the following skills within me:
Communication Skills: In any field, it is very important to communicate with a
confidence. It makes you more productive worker and a better team member. It prevents
misunderstandings and clashes between individuals and teams. It allows you to put your
opinions and perceptions in front of others(Chaykina, Mukhina, Gruzdeva and et. al.,
2021). I would like to develop this skill as I want to gain more confidence within me as a
leader. It will help me to develop my presenting skills and I will able to prevent
misunderstandings in teams.
Motivating Skills: It is important to motivate your employees regularly. Motivation will
give them self-confidence and energy to work more efficiently. It will result in to achieve
goals at time and increment in company's profit. I would like to develop this skill as I
want to make my employees more confident and capable for working. It will help them
and me too in gaining more profit.
Time Management Skills: To do any task and project at time is very important for any
business organization in achieving goals and making customers. I would like to learn how
to manage time as it will help me to do any job at time. It will also allow me to manage
the time for my employees or team members also. By improving this skill I will able to
utilize my time in some other work also.
