1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal
learning and development
The personal learning and development strategies supports me to attain my
academic and professional goals in the most effective manner. The approaches also
gives me confidence to become ready for holding future business manager jobs. The
following points which describes approaches to personal learning and development
are:
Setting goals:
My goal setting behavior supports me in attaining my academic objectives in
the suitable manner. The process of establishing goal helps me to make goals that
are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic as well as time bound.
Writing down goals:
The preparation of To-do lists helps me to focus on achie1ving my personal
and professional objectives in step by step manner. In relation to this, writing down
my goals on paper gives me confidence to realize my personal development
objectives in fastest manner(Sotiriadou and et.al., 2020).
Doing what works:
I am always focused towards adopting strategies that works best for me. In
my case, I undertake methods such as improving my skills by taking training courses
helps me to develop transferable skills in the effective manner. It also supports me to
gain motivation level for doing daily tasks.
Starting small:
In order to improve my academic skills, I make long goals into smaller as well
as achievable goals. This allows me to achieve personal development goals in the
step by step manner. The attaining of small goals gives me confide1nce enough to
achieve next goal also.
Getting on own pace:
I prefer on achieving my academic and professional skills by getting on my
own pace. I do not pressurize my self to achieve things in too short time-frame.
Instead of this, I acknowledge my every small step as the golden step towards
attaining my final goal.
Positive thinking:
The behavior of thinking positive in every task allows me to stay confident
even in the most unfavorable situations. This enables me to give my best ability in
every task that I set for achieving personal and professional skill objectives.
Learning from failure:
One of the approaches that I follow in academic and professional skills
development journey is constantly learning from failures(Karupu, Oleshko and
Pakhnenko, 2021). This helps me to realize my mistakes and work on them in order
to attain personal learning and objectives in most appropriate manner.
Measuring achievements:
I am also focused towards keeping view of my performance level as this
allows me to adjust my plan if its not going as planned. It enables me to adopt best
strategy necessary for attaining academic and professional objectives in efficient
manner.

by attending this module
There are many professional skills that I was successful to develop are:
Problem solving skills:
Analytical skills:
After attending this module, I was able to improve my analytical skills by
solving problems that occurred during completing this module. This helped to break
down big problems into smaller problems with the objective of finding solutions in
effective manner. It will help to in my future professional career to make effective
solutions to complex business problems(Rowland, Knapp and Fargo, 2020).
Adaptability:
The other important skill that I have developed is staying positive attitude
even in more complex situations. The behavior of positive thinking has allowed me to
complete my module tasks in the confident manner. Apart from this, it will support
me to handle future management job positions by adapting with changes in proper
manner.
Teamwork:
The other skills that I have developed is team work behavior. By working in
teams, I have learned to achieve common objectives by working with team members
in proper manner. The team-working skills will benefits me in achieving my future
professional goals as by working effectively with teams makes complex tasks into
simpler task.
Writing skills:
After attending this module I have also developed effective writing skills by
writing about my personal experience that I have acquired. The effective written
communication skills will allow me to convey my message as well as information
clearly in-spite of lack of visual cues. In relation to this, it will also help me in writing
business reports in professional manner.
Listening skills:
The other critical skills that I have developed is listening skills. The active
listening skills will allow me to solve the problem of customers and solving team
conflicts in the most appropriate manner. Apart from this, effective listening skills will
also enable me to perfectly understand what people are saying to me(Rivers and
Kinchin, 2019).
Attention to detail:
The completion of this module has also taught me about keeping proper
attention to detail while performing important task. This allowed me to notice every
thing in the detailed manner. It will allow me to hold big positions in future
professional career as I can catch errors and correct them in effective way. This will
help to give data supported decisions for complex business problems.
Relationship building:
The other crucial skills that I have developed is relationship building skills.
This has allowed in building effective relations with my co-workers. It will allow me to
solve disputes among team workers of my future management job.

The development of academic skills is critical for me in order to perform
well in academic and professional life. The skills which I would like to improve in my
academic studies are:
Problem solving:
The first skill that I want to learn is problem solving skill. This skill will allow me
to identify what is causing the issue as well as guides me to find effective solutions of
business problems. The development of this type of skill will make me eligible to hold
future competitive business positions in effective manner.
Critical thinking:
The other skill which I would like to improve is critical thinking skills. These
type of skills will help to make business decisions after viewing the problem with 360
degree approach. In addition to this, it will also help me to make decisions in the
most appropriate manner(Stellar, 2022).
Leadership:
The other skill which I would like to polish is leadership skills. These skills will
support me to lead the group of people in the best possible manner. In relation to
this, the leadership skills will also enable me to accomplish academic as well as
professional goals in effective manner.
Communication skills:
The other important skill that I want to improve is communication skills. The
development of communication skills will allow me establish better relations with my
coworkers as well as also motivates me to complete assigned tasks by effectively
communicating with team members(Alisherovna and Tokhirjonkyzy, 2020).
Computer skills:
I will also like to improve my computer skills as I will establish my career in
business and management industry. The learning of computer skills such as typing,
knowledge of Microsoft software's will allow me to gain competitive advantage
among the list of employers.
