knowledge while considering my dream career that is to become an entrepreneur.
Overall, it helps me to reach my maximum level potential.
1.2 Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed
by attending this module
Skills refers to the individual's attributes to undertaking an organisation with a
purpose to reach the desired goals. As I chose my career in the business and
management and want to become an entrepreneur, I was required to pay attention
on the areas where I need development and improvement so that I can fulfill my life
goals. I found many skills that I have developed while attending my sessions in the
university. The following discussion is based on those skills which I have developed
while attending the module:
Communication skills: I have developed my communication skills while
attending the module. I know that a good entrepreneur must have great
communication skills so that he or she can convey the message to his
employees in an effective manner. There were many activities held in my
sessions in which i and my teammates were required to talk with each other. It
also helped me to listen others' perspectives and views as well, which
simultaneously helped me to improve my knowledge on some aspects. By
making group presentations i and my fellow members used to talk and divide
the work so that work could be represented very well.
Team-management skills: This is an another important skill which I have
developed while attending my learning sessions. As an entrepreneur, it is vital
to manage the employees as well as whole organisation so that the desired
outcomes can be attained. As I discussed earlier, there were many group
activities held in my sessions in which I put efforts to manage my team and
their work. I intended to direct and guide my team members and tried to
resolve their problems as well which I thought I could resolve in the best
possible way. By taking such initiatives in the team work, I was able to
develop my team-management skills.
Ability to learn new things: I found that learning is a never-ending process
and for any person it is very important to learn at every stage and any
situation of life. I realized that for an entrepreneur, I need to develop a high
ability to learn new things, accept new situations, success or failure and so
on. All such things are vital in the entrepreneurship. I developed the skills of
learning new things as I believed that it is important to acquire new knowledge
and one should willing to learn new things as they can be used at any stage of
life. I tend to take participation in different activities, interact more with other
with an aim to acquire new knowledge which could help in my future.
1.3 Skills I would like to develop during my academic studies,
personal life and the workplace
I found that having those skills is not enough for me to become a successful
entrepreneur and to run a company effectively. Hence, I need to develop more skills
and knowledge so that I can perform my duties and work in the most effective way
as an entrepreneur. The following are the skills that I would like to develop for my
career in the business and management:
Decision-making skills: Making an impactful, smart and strong decision is
very important for an entrepreneur as his decisions can affect the whole
