no involvement of audience as stakeholder in present business processes of the organization.
Hence, there is a need to make some improvements in the existing business processes of CC
Music.

Description of the proposed business process of CC Music
As identified from figure 1, CC Music is presently using manual process for handling
their business requirements which is time consuming and can be also inaccurate. Hence, there is
a need to modify their business process with the help of a model so that they can easily operate
their business. Therefore, in figure 2 a new model has been proposed for handling their business
processes. An addition has also been done so that the audience can book tickets for the programs
that will be organized by CC Music. This means that there has been addition of a new
stakeholder to the business organization.
2. Strategic analysis for CC Music
The strategic analysis for CC Music is done using PESTLE which is used by many
companies for tracking their operating environment or planning for launching new product or
service. PESTLE forms the basis for strategic analysis in context to CC Music which is carried
out with the help of various factors as presented below:

and ineffective business environment the music company is failing to meet the requirements
appropriately. The lists of works those are widely managed by CC Company are radio programs,
event management, band activity management etc. In order to promote the gigs and music bands
the CC Music Company uses a particular music website. The website is obtaining very high
response from the consumers and that is the reason for which the organization is focused to
implement certain changes in their existing system. The current system used by the CC music
company is manual where changes of error occurrence are higher. Not only vast error percentage
but also it is time consuming and inaccurate. The payment system used by the company is done
through cheque processing however CC Music Company wills to implement payment gateway

Thus, they are failing to communicate with the band they are eventually promoting. Not only this
but also the client communication approach of CC music company is also very poor.
The existing system used by the company is manual which is quite time taken and even

3.1 Proposed changes
The existing business process of CC Music Company is very weak and thus, in order to
make the business process many effective, certain changes are needed to be implemented by the
company owner. The background infrastructure of the company should be improved accordingly
for providing accurate services to the bands and their all other promotional events. The most
important factor where the change should be implemented is their existing communication
process. In order to resolve the issue of CC Music Company, very initially they should
incorporate a software based website as a business solution. It is expected that through the
website the clients will be able to communicate with the audience very easily. In addition to this,
another change that CC Music Company should bring is their paper based system. The software
based website would easily store all information in the server from where the data could be
easily retrieved and even inserted. The company does not use any proper decision support system

thus the company should adopt the most suitable decision support system. It can be said that, the
website will be easily able to bring all the necessary changes in their business environment.
3.2 Selection of software solution
In the project planning phase the most suitable component on which the project owner
should focus on is the software selection. Among the different options they should adopt ERP
Open source software solution to make the business process effective and beneficial as well. The
in house development cost, maintenance cost and the hardware cost will eventually get reduced
with the ERP software. It has been found that the ERP software solution can easily cooperate
with the business practices and other practices. In order to make the system user friendly and
effective from both the client and business perspectives, the VIENNA Advantage Community
Edition software solution is to be adopted by the CC Music Company.
3.3 Implementation process
In order to implement any software solution in the business organization, an accurate
software development process is required to be followed by the CC Music Company. For this
particular software the company should follow, evolutionary waterfall model. Due to less
complexity and straight assumptions, the software should be implemented followed by the
evolutionary waterfall model. The different phases of waterfall model those are to be followed

communicate with the stakeholders properly to reduce the organizational risks.
Part D: Reflective Report
Open source software is referred to as one of the most widely used software used by
different business organizations for development, testing, improvement through public
distribution and collaboration. The details information regarding the open source software are
gathered from different journals and publications. I have realized that for implementing any
software solution the business requirements are to be analysed at the very initial project planning
phase. After analysing the background of CC Music Company, I have found that open source
software is the most suitable one. I have compared the features and technical characteristic of the
open source software and selected the most appropriate for CC music. Though cloud based
solutions are much effective but it costs very high. After analysing the system capabilities I have
realized that though at the system implementation phase the cloud based solutions are seemed to
be costly but these are much beneficial due to its long term sustainability ability. As VIENNA
Advantage Community Edition is an open source software thus, I felt that using this cloud based

solution will be much profitable. Moreover, I can say that, for Closed Circuit Music Company, if
this open source software is used then that will not require any additional cost. In order to host
the site only the company will be changed and no additional costs will be required. I have found
that certain additional features such as cost effectiveness, freedom for lock-in, faster timing and
security are also there from which the company will get positively affected.
