AI Summary
This capstone project assignment, submitted by a student, focuses on selecting and describing a theoretical framework for a leadership-based study aimed at exploring business sustainability. The assignment details a model incorporating leadership styles, resourcefulness, resilience, personal values, strategic flexibility, and social capital. It identifies a deductive research approach and quantitative methods, specifically surveys, as appropriate for data collection from employees. The project emphasizes the use of the selected framework to evaluate the research and guide the development of questionnaires aligned with the study's objectives, potentially employing leadership theories such as trait and behavioral theories for a comprehensive analysis. The assignment also includes references to relevant academic literature supporting the methodological choices.

Part 3: Selection of specific theoretical framework for capstone project
Describing the key features and components of selected theoretical framework/model:
In this case, the researcher has stated the concept of theoretical framework or model for the
project work. Moreover, the inherent features and affective parts of the model have been
discussed in previous part of this study. Here, a diagrammatic representation has been
provided of the ongoing project study:

The key features of this model are that the model has allocated the areas to be developed
towards the completion of the project. As the capstone project is based on leadership;
therefore, the researcher has indicated different components like innovativeness,
improvisation, consistency, value system, socialisation, personal involvement etcetera. The
proposed model is effective to develop the mentioned areas towards business sustainability.

Identifying specific research approaches:
Towards the continuation of this study, the researcher would need to choose deductive based
approach. In this study, different data need to be collected for meeting project objectives and
the collected data would need to be filtered to collect actual information. That means the
unnecessary parts of the data should be deducted. Therefore, deductive approach would be
useful for this study (Kumar, 2019). As this capstone study would relate leadership and
business sustainability, there different theories might be implemented. The selected approach
would be helpful to collect necessary information from the chosen theories. Along with this,
the deductive approach would be useful for describing the information in respect to the
objectives of the study.
Methods to be used for the project:
In this study, quantitative method would be useful. As this capstone study would relate
leadership and business sustainability, so no pre-stored could be collected or used to meet
study objectives. In this case, the researcher would need to collect necessary quantitative data
from the employees of an organisation, because the employees can only say the impact of
leadership towards the business sustainability. In this case, the researcher needed to be fully
dependent on collected quantitative data; here no company information can be collected
directly (Flick, 2015). Along with this, the researcher would need to choose survey for
collecting necessary quantitative data from sources. Here, random number of employees
would need to select for collecting quantitative data.
Describing the theoretical framework to evaluate the project:
The selected theoretical framework has indicated the components that are needed to be
developed. Therefore, based on the components and researcher objectives the questionnaire
would be framed. That means the prepared questionnaire would be rationale to the objectives
and framework. In this way, the framework would be helpful to evaluate the issues and
provide recommendations.
Workability of the model:
As it has been stated that the prepared questionnaire would be rationale to the objectives and
framework, the projected work would provide a justified solution to the problem and that

would be possible for the model only. Based on the model, trait theory of leadership,
behavioural theory of leadership etcetera can be used.
